I really appreciate the time taken here on the fundamentals. I'm the type who needs to understand why and how things work and not just memorize steps. So yeah, thanks

Just picked up your no gi takedown instructional from bjjfanatics. Loving it so far and has been super helpful for a judoka/gi guy like myself who wants to improve his no gi skills. Also the amount of street fighting questions in this video had me dying hahah

Hey Travis great session. Do you think common judo injuries, how to prevent them and protecting uki is worth a session?
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
It could be. I would need a little more information on what information exactly you're looking for. And it would be best to break it up between off mat exercises vs needing uke and protecting him.

Where I'm from wrestling is almost non existent, even in my bjj school we start from the knees. Any one else keeps watching wrestling videos and instructionals but never actually wrestles?

I blame dudes like Roe Rogan and Rener Gracie for all the obnoxious "street fight" stuff in BJJ, all their BJJ marketing revolves around fighting dudes on weird hypothetical scenarios on the street
