Last year in Downtown Seattle, I had some guy hit me due to the road veering off to the left some. Construction was happening on the road. He admitted fault at the scene. Then he goes and tells his insurance that I hit him, not to mention he tried claiming it was at a different intersection. I shared pictures of the area after accident that proved the area it happened in. It came down to neither party at fault due to the false story he was telling. I got a dashcam after that and wished I had one then for that very reason. If I had hit him like he claimed, we would have gone into oncoming traffic and got in worse shape.

Two years ago, had a POS sideswipe me and then flee the scene. Dumbass missed their turn, so they decided instead of simply turning around and going back, they'd make a 90 degree right turn from a straight only middle lane, directly into my lane. I was lucky enough to see it and make the turn with them to minimize the damage or I would have T boned them. I thought they were slowing down to turn into a car dealership so I turned in as well. As soon as I did, they took off. I checked with the dealership, but unfortunately, their cameras didn't quite catch the intersection. Luckily, I was able to avoid the worst of it and my truck is still drivable. They are just lucky they didn't hurt my dog.

4:27 ah yes you didn’t brake in time because of the dirt. It had nothing to do with the fact that the cars in front of you were decelerating while you were not, to the point where you were less than 2 seconds away from the car in front. If you’re in a heavy truck, do not be so close to someone that if they slammed on the brakes you wouldn’t be able to slow down on time. And you need to account for road conditions and weather conditions as well. If all the “dirt” was present (even tho the road looks pretty clear to me) you should increase distance from the vehicle in front of you. Just like you would do in snowy or rainy conditions or if the suns too much in your eyes. If the driver in front of you stopped in time why couldn’t you?

He’s completely negligent and is probably here illegally and therefore has no business whatsoever being in our country in the first place and this wouldn’t have happened had he not broken into our country. He absolutely without a doubt belongs in jail. Obey the laws and responsibilities of society like the rest of us or go to jail. Being “anonymous” doesn’t give him the right to disregard our laws and regulations which exist to protect everyone. He’s going to do it again and might hurt or kill someone next time or at a minimum inconvenience someone and deprive them of their finances and potentially their livelihood and that of their family. Not to mention, that is a business vehicle, which means they are making money somewhere,, and are avoiding it because they know they can't legally get one, on top of illegally driving an illegal vehicle. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not eating the costs of repairs, medical, etc, if someone side swipes me doing illegal things. Just to clarify, there were two white vehicles in front of the cammer. The one in front of him was tailing the lead. The lead brake checked which caused the one in front of him to panic brake. Still though, the fact the cammer couldn't stop in time just shows that he was following too closely himself. Which is no surprise he would defend the dangerous behavior by saying that the lead should've ignored it. As this video shows, it's putting people at risk. By tailing, you will not be able to stop in time in the event that the vehicle in front of you has an emergency situation. This not only puts your own life at risk, and not just the person you are tailing at risk, but those around you as well. It honestly carries more risk than a little bit of speeding does, yet police are far more likely to pull over a car from speeding than tailing.

Liability covers what YOU do to OTHERS Comp/Copllission covers YOU regardless UNI/UDI covers what happens to you not your fault when the OTHER party is uninsured or under-insured or simply absent (IE hit and run) For example you need ENOUGH UNI to cover your max potential losses and you need enough UDI to cover the likely "difference" in coverage that typically might exist. got a $80k tesla in a state where min liability is $15k? you better have at least $60k in UDI to cover that difference. because that's all your getting from the other persons insurance if they have the state min you then have to SUE THEM directly for the difference. UDI takes care of this. This is why a HOME OWNER with a brain usually carries 100/300 coverage minimum. you don't want them coming after your HOUSE if you smash up more than your insurance can pay for. SHE elected not to have that coverage. I have many issues with insurance and don't think it should even be private but IT IS what it is and she went in eyes open. she is going whacko because she WANTS someone else to pay (and I don't blame her I would too) but in this instance the party she is trying to force to pay IS NOT RESPONSIBLE.

Does that about sum it up ? absolute silence on the other end and a chuckle from my insurance agent. a soft one but audible 🙂 Then I said. how about I also send you a video after the accident when the state police told us to just go home where the driver admits to falling asleep and waking up as they were slamming into my car and your "client" admitting that he let he unlicensed girlfriend drive the car home and that this is his second major accident under daddy's insurance and that he is not taking the blame for this. AND ITS STILL NOT THE END I then spend the next 3 months fighting over the VALUE they kept trying to undercut the value by thousands but still wanted to "total" the title (salvage title the car) and I said fuck no. you are offering $2900 to total out a $5500 vehicle FMV. you have 2 choices. $2900 and NO salvage title or $5500 and you can have a salvage title AND you will pay for the repairs I have done to the vehicle in the last 7 months as well I said your alternative is court. I have 5 cars and already repaired this one its no skin off my back. they then also paid me $1500 for my trailer $400 for each phone (photographer time lapse camera's) $400 for my bike and $160 for my bike carrier. I got the max to the penny the law permitted. I had to sit down with my mechanic and do a custom order for a micro aluminimum trailer. he said sure we can make it for anything you want I said no it has to be legal and legit using standardized rates and materials. no cheating. Yeah. aluminum was skyrocking at that time. it was delicious to watch him TRY to figure (insurance guy) out a way to decline anything. I looked him in the face and said you go ahead and try. triple verified using industry standard rates and material costs from multiple sources precisely as the law prescribes to the letter. yeah I had to spend 2 months learning how insurance works and how the law figures into it. fucking scumbags. in the end THEY STILL screwed me as I did not notice they forgot to include SALES TAX when they paid me so they beat me for 6% hell THEY HAD me bring the trailer to them instead of picking it up. it had a flat tire. when I handed him the receipt for the tire he said "we are not paying for that" I said no problem I will just put the flat tire back on the trailer :-) I PROBABLY could have charged them standard tow rates for bringing the trailer to them but did not think of that at the time.
