#9 Based on the brief amount of evidence, you're doing a terrible job teaching anyone how to drive. If your are going to impede traffic and drive like a jackass, go to an empty parking lot. Nobody "sped around" anyone - you were going 4 miles an hour. And then you have the audacity to show your kid how to pull over and verbally harass someone over an extremely minor traffic confrontation. That always works out well.
@zion934410 ай бұрын
What he said to the other guy really wasn't that bad and he was calm and polite at least. He's also far from "impeding traffic" as it looks like a quiet residential street, probably close to the learners home. Could both parties have been more mature? Absolutely. Is there enough evidence in the video to come to a conclusion about the quality of his teaching or even what was happening? No. Maybe they had been going the speed limit up until right before recording started, and it sounds like he's having the learner slow down and look around to learn their blind spots. Maybe there was a car or something next to them that the teacher was using to show the learner exactly where their blind spots start and end. There really isn't enough there to make that kind of call.

If you can see an elderly person is driving confused it is your duty to see if that person needs help. Stop and ask them if they are okay? Did they see the signs? In other words, sus out the situation, are they clearly confused about where they are or are they only confused on how to get some place. Call someone if they are completely confused. 911 is a start. Yelling is not only inappropriate but illegal, causing more confusion and harassment of another person. Kindness goes much further. Not to mention, it makes us all better people.

10. Move over or slow down when you see merging traffic. Vehicles merging onto the highway should start matching the speed of traffic as soon as they enter the curve, and should not slow down unless traffic has stopped. It was clear the driver of the gold SUV was nervous. The car that collided with the semi should have noticed how slowly the merging car was moving. When I’m driving, I always check my left side by turning my head, using my side mirror, and then looking forward to ensure I maintain a safe distance and leave room for merging cars or if you are about to get sandwiched like in the video, then I would have floored it to get past the merging cars. I avoid using just my eyes to check; I rely on multiple checks to ensure safety. That’s how I would have handled it, but this kind of decision-making usually feels natural when you've driven on highways and freeways for a long time. But every situation is different and every decision you make wont be the same. Same goes for different drivers

Have been all over this country as a driver. Living in Arizona for 27 years, I have seen my fair share of doozies on the roads here. Even made a few of my own. Here are some of my observations by appropriate clip number where I disagree with the cammers statements. 10. Truckers driving way over the speed limit in all lanes. In any other state truckers have lower posted limits, are only allowed to pass when stated and are much more courteous. They also have a better sight line and pull over to the passing lane when vehicles are entering the highway at the same time. The trucker was wrong, was traveling too fast and was not able to slow for oncoming traffic. He and the other vehicle were very fortunate. 16. Learn to zip cammer. Be courteous and respectful. Roads are not a contests, driving with an attitude. 21. It almost looked planned. 😂 43. Look again Cammer, you turned left from far lane over to right. Those aren’t single lanes for you. From the Suburban’s POV you cut him off while making an illegal left turn. Is it worth getting mad at the cammer? Maybe because slowing down to make a right turn does not give anyone the right of way to make a left turn in front. Cammer cut off the driver in the Suburban while making the left. Plain and simple you wrong cammer😮 46. Sorry cammer you ATA. You clearly were taking the whole entryway. 55. I see this happen all the time, drivers honking at people in the intersection or worse, impatiently getting in the intersection. Rule is; regardless if the other driver(s) are in the wrong you may not enter any intersection when getting a green light until it is completely clear. Conclusion - a lot of impatient, rude and angry people are driving nowadays. Technically that means those people are impaired while driving. I chalk it up to never learning to drive properly; not knowing the rules of the roads, how to drive with respect, safely and defensively. Meaning not with a defensive attitude. Driving is not a right it is a privilege. A drivers license does not entitle a person to drive. Be safe, give people room and slow down a bit. The life you save may be… you answer this question every time you get behind the wheel. If you think I’m wrong about anything have said here, let me know.

5:08 that is a bad onramp. It's waaaay too short to get up to speed to merge or even get a good view of the oncoming traffic. The gold SUV should have looked and slowed instead of just going for it, but the black sedan could have shown more situational awareness and been prepared for merging traffic, and certainly known that they didn't have the room to swerve to the left lane. A clear case of where defensive driving from either of the drivers could have avoided that incident. I avoid that onramp as well as the Irvington onramp further east between Avernon and Palo Verde. I'm always passing collisions from merging incidents in both locations. I ether move over or keep my eyes peeled and slow down for merging traffic going past them, and I'll go out of my way to use different onramps in that area.

One thing I've always said about Arizona is there are so many different drivers. There are Californians popping over, and a lot of people move from other states (especially the Midwest, in my experience) where the drivers' norms and regs are different from Arizona. Arizona drivers themselves are already inconsistent with even the same county having different regs for the driver's test, and people can and will drive further away to take tests that don't include parallel parking, for example (not to mention we don't retest until we're 60, so people get lazy, overly confident etc while driving). On a road that was 55 mph named Hunt Hwy, most people were genuinely going either 45 or 65 and very few, actually around 55mph. Add the other state drivers, distracted drivers, people turning into NPCs when they see a sheriff car, etc, and it's an awful mix to drive there. (To clarify the NPC comment:) I was on Hunt Hwy, and most of the cars suddenly drop to 35/40mph. Both me (on my motorcycle) and the sheriff's car are going the speed limit like "Okay, I don't know why you all slowed so much under the limit, but I have places to be" I just stayed behind the sheriff because no way he pulls me over for going the same speed as him lmao. 😅😂

However, if I see a Charger hang a few car-lengths back when I'm doing the speed limit, I immediately drop to 10-under because some idiot civilian bought a "police" car...well, now you see how most drivers react to having an officer behind them.
