I remember it was my third week in Year 10 (I’m in Year 11 now). My school is situated not that far from the WCML, lucky for me some of my classes actually face the mainline so I can see the trains go by. Back to where I was in Year 10. It was lunch, and we were all out on the yard. Then, all of a sudden, everyone went completely silent and the sky towards the north of where I was standing went a dark grey. We all stopped and turned and we heard a steam locomotive go past. By gum, it was beautiful just hearing the sound of it. Because we didn’t see it, I asked one of my mates who wasn’t at the school what train it was. The train was SR 70000 Britannia with Class 47 (47805).
