Even at this very young age, one can't help but notice his interest in politics.

I identify SO much with Cameron…except my parents were and are still good to me. Everything else about him is spot on with me though.

F U N F A C T Alan Ruck (Cameron Frye) once pitched an idea to John Hughes about a Ferris Bueller sequel reunion that would wait until probably 2031 on the film's 45th anniversary. "But just for fun," said Ruck, "I used to think why don't they wait until Matthew and I are in our seventies and do *Ferris Bueller Returns* and have Cameron be in a nursing home. He doesn't really need to be there, but he just decided his life is over, so he committed himself to a nursing home. And Ferris comes and breaks him out. And they go to, like, a nudie bar and all this ridiculous stuff happens. And then, at the end of the movie, Cameron dies." (Edit: It couldn't happen due to the loss of Hughes back in 2009… RIP… I hope some trustworthy and dedicated filmmakers pick up on this idea like Cobra Kai's.)

Except for that part where he dies, this is actually a good idea

@@tiago2189 IKR? That's a bummer. Why he thought of that? Because at the end of Cameron Frye's side of the story, it goes from a comedy to a drama all of a sudden, just like in the "You Killed the Car" scene.

@@KenMasters. I kind of like that the film takes this more serious tone towards the end

Fun Fact: Alan Ruck once tried to pitch an idea for a Ferris Bueller sequel, where he and Matthew Broderick reprise their roles as senior citizens.

In 1986, Alan Ruck was 30 years old, Jeremy Strong was 8, Kieran Culkin was 4, and Sarah Snook hadn't even been born yet. Alan is only ten years younger than Brian Cox, who portrayed Hannibal Lecter in 'Manhunter,' which was also released in 1986.
