@@Maioly Kzinti, from the Known Space, but you're right. The Man-Kzin wars were just starting being published when the Animated series began(and even then as short stories in Scifi Mags, not as the collected books you'll find them in here). Mind, neither of the species is hot...also Kzinti females are not sentient...that's not like an insult, it's stated that for most sapient species(in Known Space) only one gender has intelligence, even in the case of those with more than two. It is considered odd that humans have both being intelligent, and one of the characters of Ringworld even makes comments about it.

@@SageofStars there are a surprising number of space cat races in sci-fy Vaguely remember there being another notable scify setting that has one very similar to the kzinti) but my memory fails me on a name there too... I DO remember the chanur novels, which actually have a badass crew of space lionesses traders dealing with a tricky first contact situation with a human and the following politics and machinations... do gorget what the race is called since my brain auto correct to chanur, which is te individual clan name. Do look up the.gorgeous covers for those novels.

@@Maioly Hmm, never heard of that one. Though yes, Catpeople are a common alien trope. Phule's Company, a comedy series, features some of them. They're actually some of the best soldiers in the galaxy...and they join an Omega Company by choice since the Phule leading them is actually quite talented, and gets the most out of his troops. They then have a roller coaster of an adventure...like literally, the book they join in features the team getting into a roller coaster building contest.

It's censored on purpose in the show, me being German and having German VAs talking and getting beeped for a word that is either to long for the actually beep or in Germany simply not offensive enough for a beep sometimes wierds me out.
