I feel bad for the cook at the pizza place (about halfway through the video) he wasn't efficient but he was the ONLY cook.

I do agree, you cannot run a busy successful bar with only ONE COOK, you need a TEAM OF COOKS

I know I am nowhere near an expert but at least I try to keep things clean at the restaurant I work at. If I don't know something I ask BEFORE I do something to make sure I do it right. I certainly ask before I try handling food so I don't make people sick.

I gotta call BS on the $6 worth of paint for bar repair. To do a proper restoration would cost more If you DIY it you could save yourself a little money. Few options You could remove the wood and replace it ( quick, effective, but more costly) You could remove the wood take it outside and sand the old paint and any wear n tear then paint re paint and reinstall Or you could give it the landlord special and slap paint on it and call it a day but that won't last

Jon is a former psychologist turned bar expert, he's the face of the american bar industry (no one is more successful or influential than him in this regard) and has a consultancy rate of around 50% because he does things efficiently. Yes, he yells and throws things around, but he's in a field of work where he can face people who are under the influence, so his aggression is needed. GR is a pissed off chef who cried because he realized he'll never get out of Marco Pierre White's shadow, people watch him for the memes and for his anger issues, has a consultancy rate of around 20% in both KN and HH because he does a lot of things badly, like tasting bad food *before* going to the kitchen to see the mess (which is why he had to go to hospital, because of stomach ulcers) and not sticking around for the place like a real consultant should (Jon Taffer remains a partner after he leaves and he only walks out if he realizes the owners don't listen). GR's idea of psychology is limited to intimidation, yelling and cursing, his idea of charisma is getting his Ken-like blonde hair checked, get plastic surgery and smile for the camera. With all this said, it's easily the other way around. While this, in essence, is an apples and oranges comparison, JT is easily 2.5 times better than GR as a consultant.

Don't mean to ruffle any feathers but any Bar Rescue montage should be exclusively episodes that Taffer participated in.
