They're not big and strong like bears, they're not smart and stealthy like cats, they don't travel in groups like dogs... the only way they could really survive is to act bigger than themselves. Screaming like that probably intimidates predators and deters them from eating an obviously otherwise defenseless puffball.

They seem to be predators with those teeth, as for how they catch pray I would guess that because of the second jaw like a moray eel's jaw and that he was able to jump onto the back a land strider, I would guess that they jump onto their pray's face or limbs and bite it like a headcrab. I still find fizzgigs to be cute and it's on my list of fantasy animals I would want as a pet but its interesting to think how they survive in the wild.

One little thing I like about this Fizzgig puppet is that there's a model with an unhinged jaw for when he's really angry, and another one with a smaller mouth for when he's calm. It was a big pet peeve of mine that they only had the unhinged mouth model for the Age of Resistance show.

Christian Finnish Frostiis i made video about "miners" and the The Dark Crystal Origin stories comic... i should have known also Fizzgig has his own video. My favorite is Raunip still, but if we stick to movies / serie it's chamberlain SkekSil.
