As a Hatian… I have never seen soup Joumou like these 3. There was no broth and the one with broth was brown and not orange like pumpkin. I’ve never actually been to Haiti though so maybe they eat it different than my family but I’ve never heard of it having no broth and no pumpkin. It’s literally a squash based soup

@andy3705Ай бұрын
Joyce is wrong about the rum, but she's so confident that ill accept it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@37theEnigma28 күн бұрын
Not really. Most people who made kremas when I was growing up would use Barbancourt as an alternative to Clairin, if Clairin isn't available. Past that, other alcohol being used seems to be more of a modern thing. People just throw whatever liquor in their kremas (coquito too) nowadays that I don't even get excited drinking others' kremas as much
@andy370528 күн бұрын
@37theEnigma key word you said there is alternative, clairin is the traditional option. Rum barbancourt is strong and adds that woody flavor that's not always pleasant,especially if you don't put the right amount of cinnamon and other spices.
