I recommend some local food of northern Taiwan: 1.Taipei: 鼎泰豐（本店）、林東芳牛肉麵、阜杭豆漿、鐵板燒、快炒 2.Tamsui: 淡水老牌阿給、魚丸湯 3.Jiufen: 阿柑姨芋圓、阿蘭草仔粿 4.Keelung: 碳烤蚵仔煎、連珍芋頭西米露 5.Yilan: 甕缸雞(the same as 甕仔雞、甕窯雞) You can also try Japanese food here, there are some really good Japanese restaurants in Taipei.

New Taipei City might provide a lot more wonderful and unique sightseeing destinations. If you can only pick one, I’d highly recommended NTC instead of Taipei. Do try to explore both cities though if you have the time.

If Naick loves spicy food, you can try 大王麻辣乾麵, the spiciest noodles in the world. You will get NT500 award if you finish it in 30 mins. But be careful, don’t eat too fast and don’t force yourself to finish it. It’s not a joke. ( Actually I don’t really recommend to try it, but they have other not so spicy noodles there.)

@Angela Huang We love scuba diving indeed! For longer periods and for living we enjoy cities the most actually. But if we would have to pick a place, we would probably go to Green Island or Penghu, rent a scooter and some diving gear and go diving as much as we want. If we weren't creating KZbin videos, we would probably do that for a while.

PengHu is indeed incredibly beautiful. Did I see Nemo with a school of tiny blue fish coming to visit? It looked like the big sea turtle, 嫣 (Yan), must be on the scuba diving school's payroll to put out a little show for you. Love the big headshot of 嫣 (Yan) and the yellow slimy looking creature with a delicate build-in antenna. Of course, all the amazing shots take a great videographer with an excellent production! Can't wait to tune in to the next episode, the sailboat race!

Each has their own creatures, which makes it really nice. We enjoyed diving in Green Island a lot and the visibility there is great. The diversity of some species might be a bit greater in Penghu.

love this!! I have lived in Taipei for 20 years and personally I like to go to Yangmingshan, Beitou for hot springs and enjoy the night scene at Maokong and I recommend to have a look at the thousand-island lake and enjoy the tea yards there too! the tea will taste different from the tea in Alishan, but I have to mention the Beiyi highway can be really dangerous so please be careful if you decide to go there!!! From this highway then you can enter Yilan, which is one of the most popular getaway for Taipei people to go to and I really love the duck dishes there! from there I often choose to enjoy other famous spots on the north coast, such as Chiufen and take a stop at Keelung too! anyways always looking forward to your next videos!!

Great video - I can't believe you had that amazing beach all to yourself!! Penghu seems like a real gem. Is it more of a dry climate? The sky color and the air looked at lot less hazy.

The weather is same with Taiwan. However, it appears to be hotter because there are less shades or high mountains there. I was tanned like a coke when I went there.

We call the cactus fruit "prickly pear" in Australia. Italians here grow a lot of it in their backyards. Our priest was offered these little fruits by our Italian parishioners, he shared them with us. Its meat is colourful and juicy and sweet. They are abundant in Jerusalem (Israel) too. The thorns on the skin of the fruit is very prickly and hard to get rid of if your fingers get pricked. They are sold in the fruit markets too, but I don't buy them because they are hard to deal with although delicious. Taiwanese are clever in making fresh fruits and vegetables delectable, I will definitely visit once the pandemic is over.

Some of those Familymart convenient stores now sell seasonal cactus flavors, the creamer type like you'd imagine. You can have it in all-cactus or a mix swirled in with the original flavor. not every store sells them though, you might wanna ask around or look them out on their app.

Cactus ice is made from the red/bright pink blooms of the cactus. They make it in Texas as well!
