They even had a scene where Raj was daydreaming about (Bernadette maybe?) and when it comes back to Raj sitting there he goes, yep, I’m definitely not gay. Neither of the characters we’re portrayed to be gay in any way. Raj was just sensitive and Stewart lonely.

Kaley Cuoco is such a talented actress. I first loved her in 8 Simple Rules, especially when the cast lost John Ritter who had a heart attack on set. The episode where they had to reveal that the dad (John Ritter) is dead was SO unbelievably emotional and real heartbreak. I loved that show growing up so I was happy to see her career take off once she got the role as Penny.

The only real reason that Leonard is interested in Penny is because she's attractive and has sex with him. That's really it. On this watch through, I noticed that pretty much any time he brings up anything that he likes (anything 'nerdy'), she either belittles him for it or makes fun of him. She's constantly telling him how sad he is for liking various things and how dumb they are. And in one of the later seasons the show tries to chalk this up to "Well that's just how Penny is, she ribs on everybody!" and that might be true to an extent, but they really share almost 0 common interests.

I hate that the writers didn’t know what to do with her after a few seasons and just made her a bitter alcoholic. I did like the pharmaceutical sales path they took, though. I also don’t get why they didn’t give us MORE Penny and Sheldon scenes in the last few seasons when it was obvious the fans loved their iconic moments. They moved for more Amy and Sheldon moments. Even so, I’m on my 4th rewatch. Will still be one of my go-to reruns.
