Best of Rotorua | Epic Summer Christmas | New Zealand Roadtrip Part 2

For our first Christmas in the southern hemisphere, we spent a full day exploring the best that Rotorua, New Zealand has to offer including Skyline Rotorua for some exciting outdoor activities, the magical Redwoods Treewalk at night, and the famous geothermal parks before capping off the day with a relaxing dip at the Polynesian Spa. This is part 2 of an amazing road trip we took from New Zealand's north island all the way down to the south island.

Luges in New Zealand are the best! They also have one in Queenstown which has beautiful scenery

For sure! The Queenstown luges are much smaller than the Rotorua ones but the Queenstown view is amazing

Took me a second to understand your "summer" comment. I've heard a tattooed American being able to find a hot spring in Japan that accepted him. Not sure where his tattoo was or how big. I didn't ask 😂

Haha sorry for the confusion! There are some places that accept tattoos, but generally not. If they're small, sometimes I've heard you can cover with some tape as well

Wow looks fun. I might be in auckland next month. What does a day like that cost? Can you get a shuttle there from auckland? Thx for ideas

Yup there are the intercity buses that go from Auckland to Rotorua! The spa and treewalk were around $40 NZD per person and the skyline activities were a bit over $100 per person. If you want exact costs, I can dig up how much we spent as well.
