Part of what makes him such an intimidating villain, aside from being as tall and as strong as the Hulk, is that he mostly speaks very softly. They truly embraced the "mad" aspect of "The Mad Titan" in Endgame. And I love it to this day. His mindset changed once he saw that they were trying to undo his destiny. From there on, half the universe ceasing to exist isn't the right thing to do for him anymore - all of it must be extinguished. One thing I still would have loved to see in the movie is Mistress Death. Well, perhaps the "What If...?"-series explores that relationship at one point.

Among the many things I love about Thanos, was his willingness to accept defeat. He tried his best, but it wasn’t enough. I’ve seen so many villains go out in a fit of rage or denial that they lost say like ultron. But Thanos was a man, he took it on the chin and accepted the fact that he lost.
