Hi Syddy! I'm really enjoying your playthrough. Personally, I really enjoy an open world game, mostly because of the freedom it provides, and that mean that if we don't want to do certain quests, we don't have to. So you get to do what you want. I noticed you wondering about the smilie faces above the characters and if they would turn back to purple - you wouldn't want that to happen, that would mean they're unhappy. You want then to turn green -> darker green -> blue -> turquoise. And no matter what, you always gain points, even if you give the character the wrong answer (you get one point for that). You get 2 points for the middle answer, and 3 points for the best answer. Once you get enough points the games tells you that you have deepened your relationship and the smilie changes color. That means you leveled up their affinity. However, that doesn't happen every time you give the right answer, only when you've gathered enough points. Hope that helps 🙂 Editing to add that doing side quests with a certain character and performing their synergy attacks also gives you affinity points with that character, but I don't know how many points.

I hear everything you're saying about the open world aspect of the game. When I was at this point, I was thinking it was a really good game and most of the exploring and activities were fun but it did have some drawbacks. For example the more linear nature of the first game did help it balance the gameplay and story a bit better in my opinion. In this one I felt like sometimes there were some dry spells between story segments, especially if you try to complete everything. It was hard for me because I'm really emotional and need to know what comes next in the story and yet I had to do all this cutesy side stuff. I felt guilty if I didn't collect at least 75% of the world intel before moving on. But it's not that bad, I was always looking forward to discovering new areas and new towns because that meant more sidequests and more bonding chances with the characters. Who you develop the deepest bond with is really important. Anyway, you're doing great. I have a lot to say about this game but I can't yet because I don't want to spoil anything.

I do want to cover all ground but it simply is many hours that I don’t currently have haha. & I’ve heard from many about the detachment from main story from focusing on side content too much. I may go back to all the towers etc later on ❤️

You do you, but just be mindful there are some world quest that are a must, which is also part/addition to the main story which can be missed

You seem to struggle a lot with yourself and the game right now^^' I want you to know that you are perfectly normal 👍🏻 I'm on the opposite of reality, I like cozy games, and just because of that I get you 😅 I recently started with Tomb Raider, the newer Trilogy, because I never experienced those before and I like adventuring. I new she shoots and I don't mind. But what I expected was being six feet under, an escape room game with a bit of prince of persia, grinding, crafting, looking under every stone as I explore and around 20% bandits. Hell was I wrong 😄 Every solution is followed by an incident, the game is incredibly fast paced, packed with action, the red line is everything, the pressure is real, I'm constantly hunted, and... I mostly hate it. I like Lara, the story is well done, I like the setting and the characters, but I am really annoyed by everything what's going on. When I play a game, I want to sit on a plane, life my life, and if something explodes on the horizon, I go when I am ready to. My point is I get the sentiment. What you feel is natural, there have always been at least two breeds of gamers and watchers, movies two, and you are this time just in another camp than the game. And I advice you to play it like you want :) Because fun sells. You have an audience as a KZbinr, a showman/girl, and if you are constantly complaining or hurting silently, you don't have a good performance. Plus, you can't bake wrong buns. You just attract different costumers. So if you want to focus on the plot, you should exactly do that in my opinion =) Because you'll enjoy it and that will be most fun to watch. 👍🏻 So take care of yourself, as an entrepreneur should do 😁

@@SquiddySyddy You're welcome ✌🏻 I hope it helps, and I agree with you there again. It's nearly an MMO with all it's activities, and some of the owls who lead to a life spring are flying really low and aggressive 😅 But now that we talk about it, I guess that's probably the point and you're right. You are meant to do the main story first, and after that or before the point of the last save you can go back and have exploration, minigames and fun for weeks or even months depending on your pace 🤔 If that's the case, that's good again. Makes it worth the 60 Bucks

It’s good to see one of your videos, pop! I haven’t seen you in a bit. Guess you went on a mini vacation? Nice nice. Yeah, it was kind of unnecessary to add all of the padding around the open world to make it even heavier with useless side content- and I’m not talking about the mini games I mean the towers and the springs and the other weird stuff for Chadley😂 I mean, I actually like the springs and the button sequences for acquiring summons, some of his endeavors are fun, but he definitely talks a lot😂 I feel so bad for the poor voice actor-i’m sure he’s a sweet boy but oh my gosh, this character right now has gotten so much hate!

Nice to see you too! My pup Leo had surgery and it’s a 2 week recovery, I had to watch him to make sure he didn’t scratch open his stitches so I haven’t been able to record! We’re all good now though :) & LOL yes! I can’t imagine doing everything, by the end I would definitely feel like I spent more time with Chadley than anybody else 😂 I feel the same, if I stumble upon things I’ll do them but as far as searching them out - I’m going to leave that in the Grasslands haha
