Honestly this is what I hate about the road design in Texas. No breakaway lanes or shoulders so emergency vehicles just get stuck in wall to wall traffic and theres just no room for anyone to really move bc the lanes are so narrow. I remember one time I was stuck in a jam like this because there was a bad multi car accident at the light a mile or so ahead that just took up the entire intersection and we were all just stuck. Medians with tall curbs on either side so nobody could even attempt to get out of the way. Ambulance comes up from behind, we all move the best we can but it gets to a point after a few minutes where there was just nowhere to go. I watched one of the guys jump out of the ambulance with whatever he could carry and just start running to the accident site. I was sitting there imagining if it were me in that accident and I just straight up died because the roads are designed so horribly emergency vehicles just can't even physically reach you.

From a personal viewpoint. I personally cannot see a logical reason why the dc driver approached the corner he allegedly was going to turn at at such a speed, without actually slowing-down prior to it, I mean, you can hear his tyres ‘squeal’ for traction as he is braking hard. That is not how to approach a corner you intend to turn at. My personal belief is that the dc driver was attempting to cause an ‘accident’. I do not agree with the guy who then reversed and continued the confrontation, however I can understand his frustration. That he has a child in his car, is his responsibility alone.

Sometimes I notice myself act like them even when I know it's wrong and it bothers me. 5:25 I don't understand this guy's thought process. You've managed to get past the road ragers but decide to stop, get out of your truck, and run at them with a gun? I myself am a gun owner, and like any responsible gun owner I dread the day that I am forced to use it, keyword being *forced*. Any responsible gun owner knows to try any means of safely avoiding violence, and to use your weapon as a last resort only. Had this guy fired on these people, and potentially hurt/kill them he would and should be held criminally liable. All he had to was keep driving and call the police, he had a clear path to escape this situation but instead chose to turn back towards danger and escalate this situation because he felt he would be some sort of "hero" waving his gun around at people. This is not some anti second amendment rant, I think the right to self preservation is both reasonable and necessary, but it's vitally important for people who choose to own and carry a firearm to have the proper knowledge and training, not just in *how* to use a firearm, but *when* to use a firearm. Far too many people who own guns are eager to use them, and may find themselves actively looking for opportunities to use one, even when it's not necessary. And those types of individuals are extremely dangerous and need to be corrected before they cause any needless loss of life.
@caliguy15003 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the exact same thing. I too carry a gun but thankfully never had to point it at anyone. Although I got close one time when someone cut me off and blocked me in. He got out if his car and approached the side of my truck cussing and ranting. He never even knew that I had a gun in my lap. He got about 4 feet from the door and luckely the car behind me moved and I was able to back up and make a U turn. I agree on low traction in the rear. Also you had just passed the semi and wind turbulence coming off of the truck then a change in forces when you got in front caused the back of the car to fishtail. Then you have rain on the road and possibly deeper puddles because there were less cars in front of you making the rain pool more. Given we don't know the temperature or wind speed nor do we see if you were up on a bridge. These can all be factors. Lucky all you did is spin out, slowing down will greatly increase the chances of you making it home alive.

@Taylor Bracy you've got to judge the situation. In the United States we believe in the right to self defense. Now with that being said some states (looking at you California) love their criminals. So it all really boils down to the situation itself. If you feel like you life is in immediate danger, do whatever you need to do to stay alive. Aside from that I highly suggest finding your state specific laws and giving them a good read. If by chance you live in Utah like myself I'd be happy to share my knowledge with you.
@ledfloyd90353 жыл бұрын

@@betaripoff I think he was just doing this as a point to them. If it wasn’t for him scaring them, they could have been aggressive to someone who is actually fearful of them.
