The gang watches three horrible, explosive action movies that all feature someone getting set on fire. Other highlights include baboons driving tanks, the lost city of Atlantis having an unseen motorcycle manufacturing plant, and a woman being mentally abused for the entire run time of a "fun" action thriller.

I started RLM with Half in the Bag, and over the course of watching all these Best of the Worst's, I've come to really love and respect Rich Evans. He's so hilarious, in some really subtle ways, like just the perfect way he conveys being downtrodden and beaten by life at the beginning of the video, or how he reads the ridiculous back-of-the-box lines. His banter with Jay was particularly on-point, they work well together. Is this what Stockholm Syndrome is like?

Andrew Gwilliam Half in the Bag is still worth it, it's much more amusing these days compared to the early ones, you can tell Mike and Jay are getting sick of watching the same crap and having to complain. Also definetely watch the one about Mr. Plinkett and Jay's wedding, and the volcano demon, and Mr. Plinkett's son also played by Rich Evans.

I was engaged to William T. Hicks long after he made this movie was a wonderful actor and was actually the best actor in the film. He was also a best friend of Larry Sprinkle of Charlotte NC channel nine news. His wife before he met me died of cancer and he was the best thing in the world to me. He was an amazing person and could actually do 5+chracters at a time when cutting commercials. He was just cast with the wrong actors. He also did the very first buffalo wing commercial for Bojangles, but it did not air because he died of a massive heart attack before he had a chance to see it. But if you call The owner of Bo's he will tell you all about it. If he had lived long enough he had been cast in something other than B movies while trying to care for a dying wife he would have been something special. Plus he did the Cuts for many cars back in the '70s. Order of The Black Eagle and he also starred in many other movies and was also part of the cast of Bonanza and Gunsmoke.

Connor Jones Lol to me was. It was so gratuitous that they knew it would irritate half the people watching, but they committed to the bit. Fun fact: Raiders of Atlantis was directed by Ruggero Deodato, the same guy who directed the infamous Cannibal Holocaust. This was also made around the same time a lot of post apocalyptic films were being made in Italy. The New Gladiators, which was also covered by RLM, is another example.

I was watching this episode again today, and my favorite segment is Wired to Kill on this episode. there's a lot of crazy shit in this episode but that movie, at least the way they depict seeing it, is really disturbing. I decided to look it up because there's a guy they keep showing who looks like Tiny Lister (the guy who yells "I got it! What the fuck was it?" after shooting the robot). Turns out it is Tiny Lister (most well known probably now for his role in The Dark Knight as the large inmate who refuses to blow up the other boat- he died in 2020 at 62). There's a couple noticeable "bad movie" stars of the 80s in this film besides Tiny Lister. Frank Collison (who actually has been in more recent stuff- bad movie fans may recognize him as the Hot Dog guy in The Happening- he's still alive which I mention because it will become apparent a bunch of these people died), Richard Kim Milford (bad movie fans would recognize from Laserblast- sadly Wired to Kill was one of his last movies he died young in 1988 during heart surgery), and Merritt Butrick (most notably known for his roles in multiple early Star Trek films as Dr. David Marcus- he also died very young at 29 and this was one of his last films as well). Emily Longstreth (Becky) is still alive as far as I know, but from my research things have not gone well for her in the real world. Her last role was in 1994 (long after Wired to Kill which I would argue she did too good a job in a movie that entirely abused and exploited her). No one entirely knows what really happened to her, but if you google her there is a Quora board that shows someone claiming to be an ex family member (an ex of Emily's brother) explained that Emily developed severe mental issues in her late 20s and had been in and out of homeless shelters. It's one of those things you cannot verify but appears to be true given the way it was written. If it is true it would seem her real life is very sad much like her character in Wired to Kill. I think Wired to Kill would be a better movie (not including the fact that in the middle of the movie we miss a large chunk of what was supposed to happen) if it ended with her killing Steve and then leaving. Anyway, sorry to be a bummer, although that movie kind of is already, but I have been fascinated with that movie since first seeing this episode and did not see anyone else talk about it (everybody talks about the guy getting his head run over in the episode which is also a fascinating story which you can read about in other comments).

As inhumanly godawful as so many of these movies are, they're often less interesting than the stories from behind the scenes and/or the stories of the people involved in their making. Whatever may have become of Ms. Longstreth, I hope she's found peace.

Oh my God, RED ALERT, I think you guys made a mistake! In later episodes, its established that everyone gets 1 vote at the end. Now, you CAN of course split that vote in half or even into thirds but you only get one. I bring this up because in this episode Josh votes for both to get destroyed and y'all count this as a full vote toward both movies which brings the final tally to: Wired to Kill (Josh): 1 No Destruction (Mike & Jay): 2 Raiders of Atlantis (Josh & Rich): 2 So y'all end up destroying Raiders of Atlantis, I'm assuming because international celebrity Rich Evans gets the tiebreaking vote. It seems like the whole Atlantis theme might have been inserted into the movie afterwards. The original movie might have been about riping off Mad Max, but at one point they got scared about being sued.
