That husband compliment thing is real!!! The one lipstick my husband has EVER liked was literally the same color as my lips. The next day I wore a clear gloss, and he did the same thing. Phryne Fisher really had it right “dressing to please a man is entirely beside the point.”

I’m in love with the Shiseido self adjusting foundation too. I should mention that I’m a cream foundation lover but the coverage and wear of this is simply incredible. It covers my hyperpigmentation and redness WITHOUT having to build it up (or go in with a little concealer for extra coverage) it’s that good.

No Missha BB cream this year?! I just went back to using it despite the narrow shade selection after moving from the Midwest to the desert. Everything else I owned was looking awful. I saw a few KZbinrs say using hyaluronic acid in dry climates makes skin drier. I cut out the products that had it (and it was a lot!) and what a difference! Now I wish Missha would expand their shades - I've heard the rumors they may 😊

Using hyaluronic acid without something like a silicone to seal it in could make your skin more dry. That's why most lotions, moisturizers, and sunscreens have them. I'm from Colorado, and hyaluronic acid saved my skin.

Ok. Hear me out 👏🏼 for those no makeup makeup concealer days … a drugstore alternative for the glossier … garnier clearly brighter anti dark circle eye roller. You just tap it right in. It never ever creases once fully blended. If you want more coverage let it sit a little longer before tapping in. Buildable. Really really good for around the nose too. You find it with the skincare not with the makeup. I have one in my purse always for touchups. Most repurchased thing in the past 10 yrs for me. LOVE your channel!!

Here’s another dupe for ya! The makeup by Mario highlight you use for an eyeshadow topper is the joah crystal glow jelly bomb highlighter! Horrible as a highlight because it’s just glittery but it’s stunning as an eyeshadow topper!!

I also second that Lumi Bronzer! Perfect tone n perfect sheen for my skin too! I love how it is kinda cooler and doesn't kick up a lot of powder when you dip your brush into it. It lasts a loooong time too! Love it!

I really appreciate that your “best of the year” videos include older products, and not just products released in the last year. It’s a great reminder that some older products (that I may already have) are really good. I get so tired of the whole “this is new so it has to be better, so you should go buy it” message. Not really. There’s some makeup that’s been out for years and is just as good, or better than recent releases.

Sooo many goodies you reminded me to pull out. I haven't used Lillium forever. It's gorgeous. The bisque concealer from BareMinerals is HG. There's a learning curve (it's 98% pure pigment) but covers my sins. Maybelline Warm Me Up lives in my bag. That Eco Tools brush is fab. Happy New Year!! 😍

I love the shiesido foundations ughhhh so good the 2 self refreshing foundations r amazing. Right now I'm super into my skin but better type skin tints so like idc about coverage as much as long as it does some blurring smoothing action. I found that in their new self refreshing skin tint with spf. It's so good it looks like I have nothing on at all but my skin looks so smooth and evened out its magical. I'm addicted at 1st use truly. U can't even feel it on or when u touch ur skin either it's mind blowing.

I love the Milani rose blushes especially the romantic rose one 😘👌🏼 so good but I can’t make the glossier foundation and concealer work for me. They are way to oily. Lol “people have asked me what highlight are you using it’s Milani baby and it could be yours too” 🤣🤣🤣 you bust me up all the time. Thanks for the info and the laughs girl lol and I don’t know why people don’t like brown eyeliner lol its honestly my favorite. I have light olive skin tone and very deep dark brown hair and black eyeliner is just to strong against my features. Brown liner just calms down all the bold colors so nicely. So interesting how you put shimmer shades first then a crease shade! I used to do that when I only used my fingers to do my eye makeup and it was so easy! Once I got into makeup and brushes I feel like my routine got so much more complicated

I've loved the L'Oréal lumi bronzer for so long. I also have fair skin and the light shade is seriously magic. Like you said the tone is perfect but the other thing that's so amazing is I've tried it with different types of brushes....a tightly packed elf brush, a giant it cosmetics stipple brush, a ecotools duofiber brush and each one gives a different look but every one looks so great! And it's gotta be the formula of that bronzer. Such a fan💋👌🏼

Love love this girl. I’m 70 ( people say I look about 60). I am a makeup junkie. I practically live at ulta lol. I do like to watch makeup videos but most are geared toward younger women. What I love about her is that she tells u her honest opinion about each product. You get to see how they apply and how they compare to different brands. The Diamond Highlighter by Fenty is like the eyeshadow you mentioned by Makeup by Mario. I wouldn't really use it as a highlighter unless i wanted to sparkle but on the eyes it gives that wet glowy look. I love it!

I think Glowish has definitely been my favourite discovery of last year. I love the whole line but I struggle to do my makeup without using the multi dew, like you I find it a bit much in its own I always mix mine and have it in a couple of shades. I’ve got one that’s like a liquid bronzer for when I’m fake tanning. It’s just so good and I really didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.

I too went back to retry products this past year. I love Clinique's mascaras, but I had run out of the waterproof high impact. I purchased Maybelline Great Lash in waterproof and am so happy I did. It's perfect for layering without clumps and it has staying power.

Maybelline makes the absolute best lipsticks in my opinion. The colors work for me and I usually struggle to find colors that I like and they are very moist on the lips, whereas others actually dry out my lips. Maybelline all the way! Thanks for the faves!
