For the last one I was expecting the "critic" to be some entitled scammy influencer. Turns out they were just a scammer. And the "michelin guide" made me actually laugh out loud. Those guys actually take being food critics seriously and won't tell you the purpose of their visit so they have the same experience as a regular guest xD

Google translate is weirdly helpful ❤ I live in Devon England and met an elderly French couple who spoke no English. It was extremely cold and had been raining allll day and this was at like 10pm so it was dark and wet. They looked lost and I was the only person around so I went over to ask if they were okay.... I couldn't understand a word they said coz I didn't take French at school 😂 but i pull out my phone and pulled up google translate ❤ After afew moments of awkward back and forth between us typing on my phone it turned out they were a couple who had come over on holiday and got lost looking for their hotel. I ended up showing them to a pub close by where they could dry off , get a hot drink and wait for a taxi to their hotel ❤ It was weirdly lovely ❤

My favorite sugar story is from an old show S*x Sent Me to the ER. A couple thought it would be fun to melt a GIANT gummy bear and drip it onto the woman during naughty times. They thought it would be like candle wax or something. Well after nuking it in the microwave he poured it on to her bare chest and soon after he got to meet her parents for the first time at the ER. Imagine *that* being how you meet your future inlaws lol (Edit: forgot to add that years later she's fine and laughs at the story as she tells it. I imagine that it wasn't funny while it was happening though.)

If I were a baker and had to do gender reveal cakes, I would be SO tempted to make the sample cakes and all cupcakes pale purple, green, orange and yellow, so they were all gender neutral and tell pushy grandparents to be that THOSE were the colors of the cakes. Wouldn't even need to be vanilla cake, something like coconut, orange cream, or strawberry would be a fun twist as well (especially on a plain yellow cake) and the filling could tell the gender. I LOVE making filled cupcakes!

Gender reveals have become a monster. There's always someone who's upset when they find out who's coming out in another 5 or 6 months, and the person who gets upset can really wreck that party for everyone else who is just happy to see a healthy birth

I did get a wedding cake on 3 days notice. We explained the rush and the baker agreed. It was important to me that my mom walk me down the aisle and she was terminal and deteriorating fast. The whole wedding was planned in 5 days.

Okay, I hope this isn’t controversial- but there have been a handful scenarios where if Alex was my coworker, I would have LOST it. (It should be noted I am not one to voice my issues either in those situations unless it’s causing a larger issue- which many of these definitely had to have done so). I get he’s a sweet guy (I hope) in general but from a lot of these he seems fairly careless/bored- leading to him making silly mistakes, pretty dense at times & all around someone who has a lot more life lessons ahead of him. I’m not trying to be a hater but in my experience he was given TONS of chances for things that would have gotten him fired in the States.

@ I totally understand!! I personally have the exact same issues(lifelong depression & family issues), but sadly employers that genuinely care, or would be empathetic & not allow those factors to affect the persons job are few & far to come by. I unfortunately speak from exact experience. Employers will tell you that you’re family, but as soon as you jeopardize their potential income, they’ll fire you in an instant. For instance when he used fondant to try & make pastries or ordered over a 1,000 euro on pies, I’ve worked in plenty of places that would let him go because of those mistakes & how much it cost the business, even if they liked him. That’s the only point I’m trying to make. I have no ill will towards him, nor am I trying to say I actually would dislike him. I just know in my neck of the woods he wouldn’t get the same patience is all. I didn’t mean to come off insensitive
