The Cat 1R-0750 is listed as a 2 micron synthetic media fuel filter. Made in America.

The cat filters are not trapping as fine of particles as the OEM filter. dont let the longer size fool you. HD equipment has much more tolerance for particles over the 6.7 cummins. I ONLY use the Mopar filters for both the fuel and Engine. But i also dont want to pull the vehicle out of warranty like you have done.

Cool beans lol but not everyone does things the same man a filter is a filter if anything this is a plus over the factory one. With CAT being a huge construction brand with diesel engines I assure you it's well worth your money. Never once have I ever heard someone say "oh CAT/Caterpillar makes junk" otherwise the roof you're living under probably wouldn't have been built CATs are everywhere it's atleast one of them on every construction site if not several. .

You’re wrong the cat filters have better flow rate and a finer particular filter method it actually does filter better and allow flow better than OEM filters

Most OEM filters range from 10 microns down to 5 microns nominal not even absolute . CAT filters are genuinely 2 micron absolute. In addition CAT filters designed for fuel flow considering the machinery that's utilize it consume far more fuel per hour than any Duramax or Cummins or Powerstroke , and that means huge filter capacity margin for us truck owners.

A channel called Tyler the semi mechanic cut open the Cat filter for these engines and according to him they are not made by Caterpillar but look identical to the Baldwin. You can check out his video...he says you are overpaying for the yellow paint.

Cat oil filters Do not have bypass or anti-siphon features like Oem filters ! you bought into the hype before any research was done

Eh I’ll be honest I do 0 research. It’s a truck. I’ll drive it for a few years and get another and so on and so forth. Diesel shop I got the tuning done runs those filters on all their trucks and put them on when they did my FASS system so I stuck with 🤷🏻‍♀️ they be alright

Congratulations...you put a worse fuel filter on than what came with that engine from the factory. CAT doesn't make their own filters...and they are made with legacy media technology using both glass and cellulose media. The OEM filter that Fleetguard makes is made with polymeric fibers and will not shed glass fibers into the fuel system...that's what glass does over time. Initial efficiency drops off hard once the filter starts to age and you won't be getting the same filtration performance as the OEM filter. On the lube filter side of things, doesn't really matter as much to be honest...the quality and grade of oil you use is going to have much more of an impact.

YESSSS to the cat filters I opted to a different setup to run my filter/water seperator but same filters. Fleece intank lift pump does it for me.

Are the 5th gens running different oil? My 4th gen calls for 15w-40 and 5w-40 in extreme cold weather. Didn’t know if they changed anything.

Yes, I was told the 5th gens have hydraulic lifters and need 10w30 or 5w40. My truck came with 4 free oil changes, and my friend works at the dealership said they put Rotella t6 in the 5w40 for my 2022 Ram.
