Nobu in Hollywood was one of the most special as far as high end restaurants. Mostly I think because my friend took me and I was just getting into sushi at the time. Like you said, it is not just the food but who you share it with.

Sushi sometimes makes me feel both deliriously happy and terribly sad. Especially when you go for this style! Everything is presented so beautifully that sometimes it seems like it would be a shame to eat it. But then I just eat it and cry tears of joy!

I had accidentally omohate (or however you spell it). The sushi chef gave it to us because we were sitting at the bar and saw how much we were enjoying his other stuff so he just made a single piece for each of us. To this day it is still the best thing I have ever put in my mouth.

The first time I've ever been to an omakase was in Japan :) I've been there several times because that's where I'd land first and I'd stay there for a week each time before going into SE Asia, so I'd go to that place every time I vacationed in the east, but I didn't know what omakase meant or that it was an omakase joint. The place I went to was like $85 USD back in 05 (idr how much in ¥) and I thought it was like an ala carte buffet lol but yeah, it was very much like fine dining and I took pics of literally everything that came to the table lol (FB wasn't available to the public yet, so I never got to post em). I remember that booze was not Included, so that racked up my tab more and more because I would put sake, beer, whatever down like water when I was still drinking haha I used to go vacation out there after each Iraq deployment while I was in the army and when I got my Honorable discharge I went out and stayed for a while summer. I haven't traveled like that since and I miss it.

Bieber claims that he "gets his peaches down in Georgia." However, considering that he lives in Beverly Hills, and the fact that California alone produces 56% of America's fresh peach crop, it is far more likely that he really obtains his peaches from California. Furthermore, Californian peaches are generally far sweeter and juicer than their Georgian counterparts due to the differing state climates, and given Bieber's penchant for the extravagant, it's unlikely that he would specifically shop for the harder, denser, and less sweet Georgian variety.

This looks AMAZING and you also explained a lot about everything 😊 One day I'd love to have omakase 🥰 Where I live they don't have this. And if they did it would probably cost hundredes or thousands of dollars. And yes eating and sharing food with your loved one is the best ever!! 🥰 If you can't feed each other and respectfully eat from each other and from each others plates, then the relationship is doomed! haha 😄

Man I wish I was so picky especially when it comes to fish and shellfish dishes. They always look so good then I try it and I can't handle that fishy Briney taste. There is a small bit of stuff I'm ok with. Like prawn and the larger shrimps. (Hate iceberg shrimp go figure lol) scallops in bacon. And a small bit if crab or lobster. (I find it very rich) and don't mind a smidge of candied salmon. Or small bit of some freshwater fish. All this looks sooo yummy. But my tastebuds let me down everytime lol

I'd never be able to go to a place like this with my boyfriend. He hates seafood. He hates Chinese food too, so that sucks for me. I'd say the most special restaurant I've been to was 🤔🤔🤔 honestly? The all you can eat crab legs and buffet at Argosy Casino. I know, that's sad, because it ties with Red Lobster... I'd love to go other places but I doubt that will ever happen.
