The great perk to a drop down visor is when you go out during the day with tinted goggles or sunglasses on, stay out later than expected, and find you've got to ride home in the dark. Just drop the visor down and viola, no bugs smacking you in thy eyes.

Wearing an open face helmet is about as usefull as riding without gloves.

Funny, l wear a Caberg open face and no gloves (unless it's freezing) and miraculously l've made it to 60, having started on a moped at 16 and never owned any motorcycle specific clothing either. Each to their own.

@@saltaireorangebicyclechopp8555 your face won't be your own should you go over the bars. The road will own some of it too. But if you're happy taking that risk, at least it's only your risk to take, right?
