Another really good tip that I learned was to cap your framerate at 30fps and then turn on frame generation, there's little to no input latency and it runs at 60, pretty smooth.

Ive been looking at a bunch of graphic settings videos and this one is by far the best great job with it. My 4080 laptop was getting really bad performance. something i have seen is 40XX serries should use dlss and all that rather than FSR but everything below needs to use FSR.

You dont need to put down textures if you have a decent card. Just turn down shadows and reflection aswell as game illumination and foliage those are the most fps heavy settings. Now DLSS or another upscaler is also a good choice. Its playable at 55-60 on my 3060 12GB but sometimes it loads in some stuff and fps drop down for a bit.

yes i had fsr and frame gen on and got crashes constantly when i got on helicopters. my specs 5800x3d, 3060ti, 32gb 3600 cl16 ram. i ended up going with dlss and using performance preset getting 60-75fps while playing, sucks but at least its not crashing as much.

NVIDIA didn't paywall frame generation. It's just that their tech is hardware based and anything below 40 series can't physically do it. AMD's FSR is a software based solution which is why that works for everybody.

no matter what i do in settings i still cant play this game, constant ue5 error code crash. i have a i9, 4080, and 32 gb of ram. ive done every suggested tip from allowing in firewall to running as admin. another issue i have is on startup i get "video card does not have enough memory..." and i have set manual values for them and still have the issue. idk what to do anymore because my friends are having none of these issues and i cant play with them.

Did you check to make sure you have the latest driver downloaded? I was having issues on my 4090 and it’s been almost flawless since I downloaded the most recent GPU driver. You could also do a clean install to wipe everything that existed before. I’m no expert, but I know the struggle man.

if you're having crashing issues with FSR, turn off hardware acceleration on windows settings. I would crash every other run just flying in the on LZ.. I no long crash since i've turned off hardware acceleration.

ARMA was a different issue. That was 4-core CPU frequency dependent. At least, from what I read, that was because the game engine could only utilize 4 cores and when you start adding a lot of AI, the CPU requirement would go up drastically, along with RAM... to some extent.

anyone have a fix for AMD gpu users? I have a brand new 7900XTX RED DEVIL liquid cooled GPU. Driver is up to date. Issue I am having, is i can get the game to launch and play but after about 10-15 mins of playing, it says that UNREAL engine has crashed and my adrenaline software for my gpu says my driver has timed out. Is there a fix for this because IM LOVING THIS GAME! ITS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

Good video.. 2 things, fps isn’t an issue in the game, the issues are the terrible server side issues that make this garbage can unplayable. Not to mention the shadow bug that randomly pops up. Might be a decent game in a couple BIG updates

The problem is your 20 series or 6XXX AMD GPU won't help you you with optimizing the game. 30 series cards and 7XXX AMD GPU's have very reasonable prices nowadays.

I'm sorry, but how can you say you need to run on FSR if it completely breaks PiP sights and makes everything a blurry mess? DLSS runs way more stable and has nearly next to no frame drops, where FSR is like watching a 50's movie.

I have a 3060, 40 fps, 50 tops on low settings. I tried to tweak each setting but didn't get more than 40 consistently. I hope for an optimization patch, but realistically, I don't think we'll get something outstanding as they say it's only 30% of the game content rn. On the other hand, it's not tarkov so it's mostly tactics is what really matters and not movement, in this perspective 60 persistent fps with good enough graphics and visibility will do for me

4:46 frame generation adds a lot of input lag which sort of cancels out the benefits of the added frames. Test it yourself and see what feels better guys.

Not just input lag, but for me, it adds a type of motion blur that just can't be ignored. It's worse than the motion blur setting at max, and it creates the blur effect at any mouse movement. No mouse movement, and everything looks decent with about a 20-25fps increase. That's essentially worthless, though :/

FSR is unplayable for me. Frame generation is helpful, but my input lag is atrocious. I'm basically trying to play on a rig that's MAYBE slightly about minimum specs though. Old 8700K @ 4.8ghz, 32GB of DDR4 and a RTX 2080. I can only play on LOW settings across the board. DLSS and ULTRA performance. This gives me in the neighborhood of 35-45 fps with terrible pixilation, due to a 33% resolution.

I am in the same boat, 10900K at 5Ghz, 3080Ti and easily getting the same frame as yours. Not sure what the Op in this video is doing i.e. 45 FPS on 3080Ti? Not happening.. My RAM is super low latency so that might help because this game is CPU bound (4000Mhz, CL14 DDR4 RAM here..) Also the OP is running 4 sticks for RAM so he probably get terrible performance, I would be amazed if he reached XMP timings with 4 sticks.

I'm having a cpu temperature issue, I have a i9-12900kf with a noctua nhd15 cooler, have never had issues with temps in any game. Even in escape from tarkov i never touch 70. In this game I'm sitting at 75+ with it spiking between 85-100 during chopper rides and being in the starter town. I know the 12900kf does run hot, but this is insane. Anyone have similar issues/know a fix? Or should I wait till the optimize this more?
