I found your podcast about a month ago and I LOVE it. So excited there’s more to come. I just got my first conure (a pineapple green cheek) and he’ll be coming home in August. Learning as much as I can and your content is SO helpful. 🙌

My birds leg band was too big and he limped. I adopted Keeko as you might know, Sandra and the Vet removed it. He is still limping unless he runs 😂 The Vet told me that with their paperwork, I have proof of Keeko belonging to me. So, there are, unfortunately, circumstances where birds don't have leg bands. 😊

Thanks for sharing! There are definitely instances when this can happen, but it might be worthwhile asking your vet if you should get a microchip just in case!

Hi! I see much conflicting information regarding houseplants and birds. What houseplants do you have? What source is good to us

I have palms at home and a lot of faux ones too! In the areas Mia hangs out I put herbs like dill, mint, basil, rosemary. Here’s a pretty good list; www.poodlesandparrots.com/blog/posts/safe-and-unsafe-household-plants
