I love the recipe. I was wondering if the pie crust will come out less gummy if it's baked a little before adding the peaches?
@lesliedavis60812 жыл бұрын
Tammy’s recipes are ALL delicious. So this is NO KNOCK on her at all, but just a suggestion. They call it a blind bake. So put some dried beans on the bottom crust before you pour in the peach mixture. Bake that at 350 degrees for like 10-15 (keep an eye on it). Then pull it out and let cool for a bit. Then pour in your mixture. It guarantees you won’t have a soggy bottom. To be honest, you don’t have to have the bottom crust if you don’t want. You could just scoop it out with the crust on top.
@snowblo12 жыл бұрын
@@lesliedavis6081 Yes, thank you for this. I'm the type that loves more crust than filling in certain recipes, so double crust most drinks for me. And yes, all Tammy recipes are bomb 💣

i keep coming across these cobbler recipe videos where the baker is not only using a pie crust but also adding a bottom crust and it hurts my soul. 💔💔 1) cobbler does not have a bottom crust, which is the main difference between a cobbler and a pie. 2) traditionally, cobbler is topped with biscuit dough. i'm all for modifications and making classic dishes your own but i wish people would stop calling a square fruit pie a cobbler. it's very misleading. the final product does look good though. 😭😭
