During the time that Freddie was working the crowd near the end of the song… if you notice, he looks back when he first gets up - notices that Brian has broken a guitar string so he leans into the crowd for enough time to let Brian get the string replaced. They were a VERY well oiled machine by this time in the band’s career!

The guitarist, Sir Brian May, PhD (astrophysics) breaks a string and has to go offstage to get it fixed. The band is so smooth, so together, so in tune with each other, barely anyone notices. At 5:10 in your video, watch Freddie look back at Brian walking offstage. He then goes into a improv part, and you will notice you only hear the drums and the bass guitar. He looks back, sees Brian coming back onstage, and picks up the song where they left off. Brilliant. This level of talent will never been seen again in our lifetimes, if ever. ❤🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸

If you want to get a good idea of how much Freddie was loved around the world, check out the song "Love of My Life" at Rock N Tio. When you watch it, keep in mind that the audience speaks Portuguese as their national language. I promise you won't be disappointed. If you make it through that one, watch Queen at Live Aid 1985. That performance is still considered to be the best live performance in Rock history. And no, it wasn't beer, it was tea with honey. He liked beer but wouldn't drink it or anything else carbonated for fear of burping into the mic - he thought that would be rude to the audiene.

Queen not only was one of the top bands of all time but, also did perfection. You watch and see each musician was point on. And made it seem so easy. They were not pretenders either. What you saw was the real deal except that Freddie, the ultimate showman, was really pretty quiet, somewhat shy and reserved. He was a man that had alot going through his mind music wise. All 4 members were brilliant with degrees in various disciplines. Freddie had a degree in graphic arts and design John Deacon has a first class honours degree in electronics. Roger Taylor has a Bachelors degree in biology Dr. Brian May has a bachelors in Science and Physics and PHD in Astrophysics.

This live version of the song has a very different arrangement from the studio version. The studio has amazing layered harmonies which can't be replicated live and is well worth listening to. I love both versions for different reasons. This live version shows how tight the band were - four fantastic musicians completely in the groove individually and collectively. Brian has said that when they went on stage, they knew the songs they were going to do and what order they were going to be in but that was it. Every night was different - that's how good they were!
