Sprintburst will not counter Bubba's chainsaw because you can still catch them with you sweeps. Done it many times before real counter to him is Windows of Opportunity to locate windows and pallets.

Honestly I always run Small game because nowadays 90% of the games have a Hex, half of these is the Ruin+Undying combo, destrpying Hexes is fundamental to win the game, so I find it very useful most of the games, I always take down every Hex in the first couple of minutes. Bonus, it's extremely useful against Trapper, Hag and also Freddy to distinguish fake pallets from the real ones sometimes

You're still quieter than normal even if they run stridor. So much so that i avoid running stridor on spirit since it makes judging distance harder and iron will still makes it incredibly hard to hear survivors regardless. That's also why I run iron will 24/7 lmao.

Even though they cancel each other out, running Stridor still lessens the benefits of Iron Will. It allows Spirit to locate a survivor she would otherwise lose in a chase and if every survivor in that group is running Iron Will (which is possible because it's so meta) it keeps her power viable instead of completely negating it.

Resilience is just great in general. You vault faster in chases which can save your life sometimes, and if you need to prioritize gens over healing resilience can be the difference between finishing the gens or getting downed right next to it.

I’d like to add for Spirit that Spine Chill can allow you to see if she’s doing the stand still mind games at pallets by moving away from her direct line of sight. Plus it also helps with when you hear her phasing towards you to know whether it’s just prayer beads or if you should actually begin looking for loops.

@Lil Gomi you’re thinking of Sole Survivor, Laurie’s perk, the perk you’re meaning is Distortion, which starts at 3 stacks and everytime the killer would see your aura they instead do not see your aura but you lose a stack and I believe you have no scratch marks for 10 seconds.

Spine chill is the biggest counter to spirit in my opinion. if it stays active when she begins to phase at a loop, chances are shes faking it. If it flickers, she has phased for real. It also just generally gives you a good idea of what shes doing when she phases

The biggest thing to take away from this video for newer or less experienced people.. Use exhaustion perks! Sprint burst i believe is the most basic one with the easiest condition, but it can lead to being caught with your pants down, and your exhaustion up whilst using it and being found not on a gen. I personally love using Lithe, as while it has a more difficult activation condition (having to find a window) you can use it in the middle of the chase to gain distance and either discourage the killer from chasing you, or run away to a safer loop! Balanced Landing is also a great exhaustion perk to consider, as if you get lucky as survivor on maps such as Lampkin Lane, The game, Hawkins, or anything with lots of places to drop, it can be a nightmare for the killer to even attempt to chase you. Thats not to say that sprint burst is bad though! A tech you can do is sprint around just before your exhaustion wears off, so if the killer spots you, all you have to do is stop sprinting for a bit, and then you've got sprint burst! Just thought i'd put in my two cents, hope no one minds!

It no longer works against Trapper traps or hag traps whatsoever not even a little. In exchange it now tells you how many totems are left unbroken in the match similar to the killer perk Thrill of the hunt. It also increases in detection range as more totems are broken so that you can find that last hidden totem from a long ways away.

If I ask anyone who is in the vets channel of Discord they would tell you that hard does the most powerful counter against a good nurse because it doesn't matter how good her blank is if you can just become a mortal for the moment while they swing. Now there is no such thing as a counter at against a god nurse but there's not really many of those that left now because they've quit the game

so : sprint burst ( or ) dead hard > urban evasion ( or ) iron will ( OR ) prove thyself > borrow time > spine chill Used a ton of time SPINE CHILL since my first hours on this game, works pretty well especially vs sneaky killers URBAN EVASION seems like a nice perk to get to sneak around the killer or dodge projectiles while staying on the move IRON WILL looks like a nice perk to get but easily countered if the killer checks a lot the surroundings BORROW TIME is the best for emergency unhook but the problem is the teamate unhooking the other, leaving himself vulnerable, pretty interesting but needs a combo to ensure a safe unhook DEAD HARD and SPRINT BURST gives extra time for the team on gens while you distract the killer, pretty good perks but ! NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW PLAYERS TO CHASES ! ( just take prove thyself to help on gens and play safer ) PROVE THYSELF. in my opinion the most important perk in DBD to complete gen objective, but requires you to stick with a teamate, still, makes gen completion pretty fast especially if you got plenty of charges on a toolbox Here's a build i've been using a lot of times which saved my life on some matches : prove thyself > bond > resilience > spine chill A beginner build for gen rushing, helps keeping an eye on nearby teamates working on a gen to join them and resilience + spine chill adds up an insane speed boost when you commit a gen to 100% when a killer arrives. Also when using the exit gate to escape, resilience and spine chill saved me quite a lot thanks to their unlocking speed boost, those two perks are also nice for chases if the killer spotted you, helps you vaulting faster. TIP : if you're using a medkit during a match, use it ONLY until 99%, work on the gen then finish healing if the killer arrives and run. That way you will have used the bonus repair speed of resilience, but i recommend that you heal if you gen near a killer otherwise he will hear your grunts of pain ( if you're already wounded ). You gotta be lucky to have good teamates or a off meta/bad killer, though because you'l need them to loop the killer as much as they can so the gen rush perk does it's work. A perk you could also try would be LEADER ( but don't exchange PROVE THYSELF over it, too much value would be lost ), this perk will be useful for helping a teamate unlock the exit gate faster + if he has spinechill and resilience active, it becomes a nice combo. ! MOST IMPORTANTLY ! Farm bloodpoints with characters that already have a high level, using a low level character will not give you more points + will make the game more difficult for your team. Make sure to also use perks that gives bonus bloodpoints for faster leveling ( ! AND OFFERINGS ! ). Playing Dwight as beginner is the best choice. ! AND PLEASE ! FOCUS ON GENS IN PRIORITY, DON'T BE THAT PLAYER CLEANSING TOTEMS ( or only healing ) INSTEAD OF DOING THE MAIN OBJECTIVE. EVERY. SECOND. COUNTS. DON'T RUIN YOUR TEAMATES' SUCCESSFUL LOOPS.

However, Doc's static blast is a special case, because of the coded "Aura flare-up." So Doc can still see you if he hits you with static BLAST, but NOT static SHOCK.

Oh wait the Perks i just listed are Meta Perks and in that Combo are the typical High Elo Go-To Perks...

As a nurse and blight player, as nurse, dead hard is the bane of my fucking existence, and then they die 5 seconds later, blight has a bug where while rushing, hit the start button on your keyboard or controller while rushing to instantly rush in place, good for baiting and waiting DH, lightweight does nothing in my experience

I'd argue object counters freddy better than exhaustion perks because in the dream world you see his aura during chase, making it impossible for him to mindgame you, making chasing you far more difficult, also wow dead hard and sprint burst counter almost every killer, I never would've guessed

OoO is another really good counter to Freddy! I was actually goodnight to put it in the video, but I decided against it because not a lot of people are comfortable using that perk

Hi. Well done video, Whilst I can't say much in regards to the other killers, I can however give you two perks that actually counters Deathslinger. 1. Quick and Quiet. You might think this perk won't do much, but being able to last longer in a chase deathslinger by 20 seconds on a chase because you confused him can be the difference between a gen getting 20% more progress or not. Deathslinger's power also capitalizes to predict window vaults. If you can mix it up by faking it and then vaulting it with Q&Q, you'll be able to make that 20 second difference. 2. Iron Will. With deathslinger, your shots would be predictions 70% of the time and reactions 30% of the time. Pre-aiming is how deathslinger secures those nutty shots in game, and you can make it harder on him by using Iron Will.

Those are really good points! Deathslinger is a pretty standard killer in regards to counters, but mindgamig him with perks is a really good idea :)

Against the Plague, I also suggest resilience, since you'll be broken due to her vomit, and it's not the best idea to heal because she gets so strong with her vomiting causing hit

Odd that you didn't mention Spine Chill vs DSlinger. Although you can hear a small chain noise if he's aiming at you, a stealthy quickscope or flick(?) is quite tricky to prevent. Could help on open maps to counter sneaky shots.

So the one build which it take from your guide that I like are : Fast Vault, Power Struggle, Awareness and Second chance Fast Vault 1. Fast Vault - Resilient + Spine Chill(For 15% Vault Spd.), Iron Will and Sprint Burst or Dead Hard 2. Power Struggle - Tanacity, Power Struggle, Flip Flop and Unbreakable or Soul Guard OR Iron Will(These three can be play for each style in my opn.) 3. Awareness(This build is so good for beginner player and yep my friend too) - Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Spine Chill and Premontion or Alert, Small Game, Spine Chill and Premontion(for full potential in my opn. as well and I think it kinda fun tho) 4. Second chance Fast Vault - Mainly Resilient + Spine Chill and Choose other two which are Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Adrenaline, DS(Decisive Strike), Soul Guard, Second Wind and Inner Strength as you like That's my favourite build I remember

Seriously, do you all not think? Stridor doesn’t just cancel out Iron Will, it still makes it so you can be heard easily. Stridor makes it easy for the Spirit to hear you even when someone has Iron Will. Stridor increases both, grunts of pain and breathing, yet you can still hear both even with Iron Will on. Iron will puts the grunts of pain volume to 0 (-100) but Stridor adds 50 to the default number which is 100 therefore making the sound produced 50 instead of 0, so a killer with Stridor can still hear grunts of pain of a survivor with Iron Will. As for breathing, Iron Will does not alter that, yet Stridor does by 25; therefore, the killer can hear 25% louder breathing always and that can be used alone to track survivors as Spirit yet alone the grunts of pain with her, and without Iron Will it be grunts of pain are even louder! Spirit with Stridor allows for the survivors to be tracked under any circumstances, all it takes is hearing - and with that, there is simply nothing a survivor can do as the Spirit knows exactly where the survivor is whilst the survivors have no idea. In that scenario, there is no mind game as there isn’t an equal amount of information of either side. Educate yourself before arguing.

Most good Spirits run Stridor, which is a hard counter to Iron Will, so it may not be as useful against her as you might think. Perks that give you speed and remove your scratchmarks would be better to gain distance on her so she can no longer hear you, like Lithe and Dance with Me.

i think fixated aswell is good for countering spirit, walk faster from where you left scratch marks so the spirit will stop phasing where the scratch marks ended

If the survivor unhooking takes the down the unhooked survivor has time to run away if the bubba didn’t play it perfectly! BT makes it so the survivor can take 1 chainsaw sweep so BT gives them the best chance to get away

Damn man..all of these are great counters... Except it'll be quite difficult to tell which killer will be each match. Mainly the ones he's overly using is Sprint or Dead Hard, Spine Chill, Urban Evasion, and Borrowed Time. (BT is always useful) the others are your choice to pick on how you feel like.

Of all these perks, I think spine chill is my favorite, if you really wanna use a stranger things perk I would use inner strength and pair it with slippery meat to get the easy totems, I’m personally not a huge fan of second wind because it takes so much to actually activate it, and DS got nerfed recently so that almost every action you do cancels it :/ I would definitely swap one of those 2 perks with an exhaustion perk like sprint burst or dead hard, so my final build would be inner strength, slippery meat, sprint burst or dead hard, and spine chill :)

DH is good against trapper because you can dead hard over traps, and urban evasion is great to crouch around the map quickly with Hag! You could still use small game against hags though because more likely than not they will be using hex perks (her 3 teachables are all hexes!)

Spine chill is extremely good for beginners, but you definitely grow out of it as you gain experience! DS imo is really bad now because of the nerf, so I would swap it with borrowed time!

As a killer main I can easily tell you that any good killer can easily counter iron will and sprintburst because of the left over scratch marks and sprint burst only lasts 3 seconds what I would recommend is the perk dead hard because it's more versatile

I think spine chill is viewed as more of a beginner perk, because you can eventually know where and when the killer is coming from, but it also gives you 6% speed in a ton of stuff when its active, so don't think you're trash for using it!

Freddy: Object of Obsession. No mindgames possible once that survivor is asleep. Self Care is not efficient, so I'm fine with Blendettes doing that in a corner and SB can be countered with Mind breaker if you are desperate.

Usually huntress runs one of the exhaustion add ons since they come in common rarity as well as uncommon and rare, so I don't think dead hard is ideal. Sprint burst might be better because you can actually get it off before getting hit.
