Actually, when you get to level 50 for that character, I would instead recommend playing with them and using the bloodpoint offerings you gained from them. Just prestiging them right after they reach level 50 is also a big waste of BP.

I have Ace, Yun Jin, Leon and Felix P3. My tip is to basically only play as your main survivor and then get blood points as them and then use the points on whoever you want to prestige while actually never playing that one character. Also playing killer gives a good amount of blood points so you should try that

A con, for me, when you prestige a character is that you lose offerings/items/addons that you can’t get anymore (essentially rare stuff). I like having stuff that you normally can’t get anymore, like old map offerings. Which is why I don’t prestige my Trapper, which has an old Macmillan yellow offering

I honestly disagree with the node rarity being a pro factor in choosing whether to prestige. Despite what the table says, the “increased probability” of higher rarity items very rarely come into effect. There’s been constant tests and surveys done on Reddit to even check the validity of that claim and all of them came up as “no noticeable difference”. Even McLean himself stated that it really shouldn’t be a determining factor to prestiging because it’s so minimal and has almost no effect. Plus, higher rarity items isn’t always a good thing, survivor ultra rares are pretty lackluster and 100% not worth the 7k price tag, and most people don’t even run certain items, especially the “Rare” variants. Only prestige if you’re a completionist and if you want the cosmetics, that’s it.

@@sh6rpshot the thing about dead by Daylights code is there are two types of ways that percentages work. Additively and multiplicative. I'm not a professional in these terms other than knowing that they exist but from what has been said even though the percentages on that Wiki are correct they're actually applied to the percentage chances that already exist in such a way that the axle increase is somewhere under 1% better chance. This is why McLean has said that it is not a determining Factor in whether you should Prestige or not.

Use: We're Gonna Live Forever / Prove Thyself + Offerings with a percentage in their description On Survivor. Barbecue & Chili + Offerings with a percentage in their description On Killer. Killer is the more profitable site to grind. Also when you have a character (no matter who) ready to prestige - do not do it quickly. First use every offering with a percentage for a match so you can level a backup character while you prepare your first one to prestige. You don't need to of course, but I did both and I'm glad that I stick with using said offerings before prestiging. Hope I could help. Good Night.

I think people just misunderstand the increase (or it doesn't work as planned) - when you get 10% higher chance it doesn't change from (for example) 5% to 15% but to 5,5% - or from 5 to 35 but to 6,5%... That's why it's actually useless

The best way to do this is to get every single character to level 50, so that you have their every perk unlocked, then buy the ones that you are missing or want and repeat it. After you have all of them on level 50, start prestiging them in one of the 2 ways: 1.) Same way as I mentioned at the start, finish them one by one and repeat 2.) Prestige first the ones which you like to play as and then finish it how you want Or you can skip all of this and just do it your way. I personally tried the 1st way and I wanted to get some of my characters to prestige 3 so bad that I couldnt resist and thats how my first P3 aka Blendette was born. But yes, the way I mentioned ia definitely the best if you want to have things in order. Actually you can prestige just one character which you love while getting others to level 50, get all the perks you need for this character (for different builds, for me its sweaty build, stealth build, genrush build and medic build) and then just finish the rest. But no matter what, always get to level 50 the original main DBD characters which you already have - so Claudie, Meg, Nea, David (We have it on console, idk how about other platforms), Jake, Dwight, Bill and thats all of them, I guess. And thats because you need perks like Self Care, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard and Borrowed Time at the beginning, they will make the start simpler. So, thats all I wanted to say. This was mainly for beginners but also for players who started from scratch again (like me after leaving PS4 to XBX SX. Hopefully these consoles and PC will support Xprogression between each other one day). Have a nice day. :-)

longtime player here, i just wanted to leave a short answer just in case. it is ONLY worth it if you want the bloody cosmetics or if you just have too much time on your hands. If you have everyone maxed out at lvl 50 then might as well but if not, avoid prestiging. all in all, doing prestiges should be an endgame thing only if you have everything that you really want to do, done. the difference is minor and you can use the bloodpoints you would be using on prestige for other survivors to get their teachable perks. but if you really just want atleast one character p3 lvl50 then yeah that works too!

The way I did it was that I leveled Cheryl to 50 then Jill then prestiged Cheryl, then played Jill/Claire, then leveled Cheryl again to Prestige 2 then played Claire until Cheryl was level 50 and then leveled up all the characters with good perks like Bill or David, so.. a lot of survivors 😂 (I’m a survivor main btw) And just saying the shrine of secrets is great, I got decisive strike so I didn’t need to level up Laurie So keep an eye out for it

i would recommend while rushing, make sure you use all your good bp offerings, save your bp while doing so towards next prestige progression, and then prestige once your bp offerings are used. at least use green/escape cakes. sealed envelopes if you have the patience

You really wont notice a difference. The only difference I could actually feel was the perks. My Wraith at lvl 50 without prestige had Purple, green and some yellows. Prestiged at level 50 had a lot of purples and a few greens, but no yellows.

I feel like 2 things would make this choice a bit easier and would convince more people to prestige: 1. The grind, it just feels so slow to level up and then prestige and do it again 2. Remove the bloodpoint cap so I could save up for a while and then after saving get a character to prestige 3 quickly. Well, it does, but not like he claimed it does. It's not an extra 10-30%, it's and extra 10-30% of the current percentage. So, in his example, if the percentage to get something rare was 5%, at P3 it would be 5% + (30% of 5%) which is a total of 6.5%. Basically it is meaningless and not an actual benefit that compensates for prestiging. Plus, I don't think he understands how bad having everything removed is, he needs to remind people that means EVERYTHING, including defunct and event offerings and items. You got a Cake from the 3rd year anniversary? It's gone and you will never be able to get one ever again.

That should be a red flag of "never ever prestige ever", especially a character you invested in. He acts like it's a small inconvenience because you need to spend more BP, when in reality it's a very huge deal as you lose some very important items or offerings that you can no longer get. for me personally the best way to get the prestige more easliy/quicker as a new player is that new players get 500k bp in the start so find ur main killler/survivor and upgrade them with 250k points and do the same for other character so then grind with all bp offerings that u got and when u get both to level 50 save up like 1.5m-2.5m and get next prestige and repeat the process but when u have like one or two P3 characters you should be able to get the rest fairly easliy due to the fact that u should have already some good perks

This survivors have good perks to start, and David King has "We are gonna live forever", a Perk that potencially double your Bloodpoints. I prestige just because it sets a new personal goal for my progress in-game. If you invest a lot of BP in an unprestiged character, you are saving a lot of BP but you will also miss out on the node rarities and bloody cosmetics. It’s not technically as efficient as fully investing in a prestiged character. That being said, whether or not anyone should prestige depends on how often they play the game, how much time they are willing to put into it, and how much they value cosmetics.

I think something that would help lessen the grind is that once we get to prestige lvl 3 all perks are purple and at tier 3. Upgrading the perks worsens the grind so having them already leveled up as you enter prestige 3 could be a grind saver.

I’d Prestige 2 characters from each side just so you can use one while you continue to Prestige the other. P3 is worth it because you get to keep event items without the worry of one day Prestiging and losing those items. Plus that character will pretty much have all your perks so you can count on them for grinding the others.

I'm never prestiging it's almost completely useless. Why does it matter what rarity items you get. A lot of times for killer the best add-ons aren't ultra rare. Also for survivor I don't really care about items and just bring yellow flashlights or medkits. The cosmetics are also completely useless. Perks matter much more than items and add-ons because items are temporary and having the ability to choose any perk build you want makes the game much more interesting and fun.

I've seen some speculation that the % bonus per node is not additive, so a 10% bonus on a 10% chance is actually just adding 1%. It's not 10% more likely, just 10% more likely than it was before.

Since I felt this wasn't clear in the video, for the benefit of other viewers: If you unlock a character's teachable perks and prestige them, those perks will still be unlocked for other characters' bloodwebs. You do not have to take the teachable version of the perk each time you prestige. Also, side note: My goal has been to get all of the perks on all of the Killers, as they each have their own unique power, making for a different play experience for each one you get all of the perks on, IMO.

my opinion, I feel like once your done prestiging to like level 1 prestige, you should level them up until they’ll get perks and things that they need, then start off with another character, repeat the same thing you did, and there you go, you have some good perks and add ons

Nice video, I didn't know about the node rarities increase for prestiging. I have a few tips for you, first of all there is a lot of information that you repeat a couple of times imo for no reason. You mention the fact that there are 3 prestige and max level is 50 a few times. The same goes for the pros and cons of prestiging or not prestiging. You basically just flipped the pros and cons, imo you could have left out the pros and cons of not prestiging. I was also curious whether or not your calculations for the rarity increase was correct you basically added the percentage onto another percentage. I don't know if it works like that, say 10% increase on an already 10% doesn't mean 10+10= 20%, I would think it's 10% + 10% increase = 10 + (0,1 * 10) = 11%. Another strategy that I wanted to share is, just playing the character that I want to prestige a lot and only prestiging the character whenever I've used all the BP bonus increase offerings on that character. Therefore maximizing my BPs and utilization of my spent BPs (addons, items) on that character.

I think another thing people should consider is whether or not they like the survivor/killer’s base outfit for deciding if they want the prestige version. For example: I think the prestige cosmetics for Laurie are cool because her default outfit is bright, so there’s a lot more contrast with the blood and it looks really cool. On the other hand, I don’t personally like Feng’s default e-sports outfit, so I definitely wouldn’t like the prestige version. If the prestige outfit was on her bunny costume instead, I would go for it. The point I’m trying to make is that some prestige outfits may not look (be) as good as others (or in other words, as worth it as others) depending on your taste.

What I do to avoid the no perk problem is, save up 1 million blood points before prestige, then prestige, then level to about level 37(sometimes high. sometimes lower. Depends on how efficient you spend points) then start with a bunch of perks, items and add-ons to use.

I used to play Dwight when I first started the game. Even prestiged him once but once I started playing Nancy I never went back. Currently P3 Lvl 50 and working on getting every survivor perk with her. Overall only prestige a character you will main.

After you get to level 50 on most or all of your characters you don't have much else to spend BP on so you either prestige or just sit at 1 mil. I'd say just prestige, but only one or two characters at a time. I have Claud and Jeff P3-50, going for Cheryl next :)

Here’s what I do. Every anniversary event, there will be a gateau offering that’s basically a BPS. During the event, you have a guaranteed gateau in the web no matter what level. It’s actually easier to get gateaus in lower levels since it’s cheaper to level up. So, I actually only prestige survivors during those events. For killers, however, I will leave them at P2, then prestige them during the event. Getting gateaus from fresh lvl 1s is more efficient then farming lvl 50 bloodwebs

I'm a casual player, got 2 killers at p1(liked the weapon skin PH/Pig) and 3 survivors prestiged, feng at p3(first main) cheryl(p2 love her) and now Jill p1, but Jill will be my new main cuz i LOVE resident evil. having said that almost all my other survivors are at level 40~ and the ones that are not 40, ive got their teachables from the shrine of secrets. TLDR: prestige only after youve unlocked perks from other survivors to make a decent build so when you do prestige theres a decent chance you at least have good perks early on.

If you love using a specific set of addons and/or map offering for your favorite killer, then it is absolutely worth it in the long run to invest into p2 or p3 because if not ,you end up spending that much more into redundant nodes you'll never use For survivor you just really need to p3 your main...all survivors are the same

My main is Legion (Joey) but sometimes I play Mastermind. So what I’m planning is that I reach Lvl 50 with both. Prestige Legion and use Mastermind until I get back to lvl 50 with Legion and then prestige Mastermind and use Legion until I get to lvl 50 with mastermind and so on and so forth.

Each time you prestige a survivor or killer, one of their original 3 perks is available on other characters. For example if you prestige Meg, you can find sprint burst on all the other survivors bloodwebs. Something else to consider :)

This isn’t prestiging! You can actually do this without prestiging, you just have to purchase the teachable perk for that character in the bloodweb at lvl 30, 35, 40 and it’ll be available on the other bloodwebs :)

I levelled Nancy in the beginning and she‘s now level 50. But then I learned about perks, and levelled characters like Bill, David, Meg etc. for the perks. But now I don‘t have them on Nancy, which is why I prestige her to have more perks for cheaper purpose. :)

i have 4 survivors with p3, and 11 survivors with prestige, and 2 killers with p1, what i learned from this? just add points in all characters do you have and when you have unlocked all characters on the killer or survivor (if you play more killer, i recomended to prestige first killer and then survivors) but i recomanded to prestige the side at what you have the most teachable unlocked, in my opinion, gave a good night/day

My main survivor is Dweet. I've had him at level 50 ever since 2016 and he still has the bouquets and the yellow and brown map offerings. I also don't like bringing items into matches so I just never prestiged him. I can only imagine how many levels I've pumped into him.

So I've been working on getting to tier 3 level 50 for some characters. What I like to do is get to 50. Slowly save up a million bloodpoints. Prestige them and spend the million bloodpoints so they can have a decent build and be close to the next Prestige

The way i like to do it is, i pick my favorite character and level them to 40. Then go through the rest of the killer / survivors and find like 3-4 perks i want first and level those characters till i unlock the teachable. Then i level everyone to a 40 to have all the perks unlocked. Go back to my main character and P3 level 50 them. Get everyone else to a 50 and P3 level 50 my favorites first. That way i have a character with all the perks while i spend blood points on the rest of the characters. Whether i have time or not IMO i wont feel completed unless i P3 50 all perk everyone. And if you just get everyone to a 50 eventually youll have nothing to buy. Thats just my opinion , thought id share what i like to do.
