Hi guys! Just a correction to make. The La poshe rosay sunscreen I used in this video comes in two versions. The mineral/physical sunscreen version and the chemical one. Seems the only version sold in the UK is the chemical one which I mistakenly tried on in this video as opposed to the mineral/physical version! This is the link to the 100% mineral version if you’re in the US www.laroche-posay.us/sunscreen/anthelios-mineral-tinted-sunscreen-for-face-spf-50-883140020899.html?cgid=sunscreen#start=4 Sorry for the confusion!

You also have to remember that the darker you are the more the cast is visible. So a barely white cast on you will be obvious on a darker skin tone. Plus sunscreen must be reapplied well on the entire face... So is it still barely visible after you reapply it. Another point is that sunscreen or not we tend to tan in the summer so is it still barely visible when your skin gets darker. My point is that those brands who claim "invisible" sunscreens are not cheap so if we can't wear it properly ( apply enough, re-apply, still be able to use it when skin gets darker..) well they're not invisible nor barely visible and become useless... Check out Cotz mineral sunscreen which is truely invisible. Plenty of black women on youtube with different skin tones ( the darkest included) have reviewed it.

Great video! The reason you have to wait after application prior to going outside is actually just to allow the product to settle on the face and form a nice barrier. The active ingredients in both physical and chemical suncreams are already active and will absorb UV rays immediately, as this is simply a result of their molecular structure which doesn't change. UV filters don't actually absorb or penetrate into the skin, they form a layer on the epidermis. Simply put, allowing some time for the formula to form that layer evenly on the skin leaves a more robust film that is more resistant to rubbing off through day-to-day activities. Imagine putting on suncream, then immediately wiping the skin with a clean finger - the majority of the product will come off! If left to settle and establish that layer, doing the same thing will be less detrimental to the integrity of the film. Also, titanium dioxide is not broad spectrum, I believe it protects mainly against UVB; with that in mind, when selecting a physical suncream, it must contain zinc oxide.

The La Roche Posay you showed in this video and linked in the description is a chemical sunscreen. The word 'mineral' is clearly stated on the bottle of the mineral version and in the product title on whichever website it is sold on. Furthermore, the tinted mineral version is only stocked in the US so it will cost you £39.34 on Amazon if you order it from the UK. You should amend the description and pin a comment where you clear up your mistake

@Tamara Charm I can only speak for myself. I'm a little bit lighter with generally dry skin. So maybe the shine was minimized by that. It's most similar to the Biossance mineral spf since they have the same parent company. You can always purchase a sample size which is even cheaper! Goodluck with your search!

@Tamara Charm I use pipette and am caramel skin tone (just a bit lighter than the beautiful woman in the video). Personally, I have extremely dry skin and just love the feel of pipette as it feels very moisturizing on my skin. As far as white cast, it DEFINITELY DOES leave a bit of white cast on me. It's not severe or horrible, but if you're expecting it to be as sheer as a chemical sunscreen you might be a bit disappointed. That being said, the white cast is very minimal compared to other mineral sunacreens and actually doesn't bother me at all. You should give it a try at least and if it doesn't work for you just return it! Hope that helps! 💕

Leaping bunny is the best but you should ask those: I have a few questions for your company, answer very thoroughly and clearly: - Do you test on animals at any point during the production of your products (ingredients and ready products)? - Do any third-parties test products and ingredients on animals on your behalf? -Do your suppliers test on animals? -Do you sell your products in countries where animal testing is required by law? -How do you test your products? -Do you have a parent company that tests on animals? -Are your products vegan?
