Thanks for the video :) over the past 20 years i've always wondered if it were possible to target farm certain things and today i learned that vipermagi is one of such uniques. The drop calculator estimates a chance of 1:288 with 180% mf and /players8 from nightmare andariel, I'm grinding for 2 two hours now, I found nice other things but still no vipermagi, I will include shenks, eldritch and pindleskin now, maybe it will help

I got this armor no socket in Act 1 Normal with my Barbarian. I did not use any magic find items. Another great tip for farming. I could use the armor when I get my sorceress to lev up😁

I recommend farming normal Diablo for a Vipermagi. I have got 2 from Diablo normal since D2R launch on a Paladin melee with 24% magic find from a Nagel ring

I think this came off of a regular monster in Talrasha tomb, on nightmare. Im not sure the drop rate but i did have about 150 percent to magic find.

@@godssicario2077 nobody should waste a zod rune on a vipermagi. On bnet just get one for a few pgems and on singleplayer if you ever come by a zod rune use it for a botd or some other good runeword. It will probably be the only zod rune you'll ever find unless you use hero editor :p

It's a very good option for when you don't have better - it's got plus skill, all res, and fcr. Tal's armor is harder to find and Enigma is one of the hardest to build. If you're a melee character, it's still useful but not that great. It's pretty great for all casters though.

Been searching for this for 3 weeks now.. nothing but shank, eld and pindle runs.. seen it drop 25 times but not unique.. so far looking for this armor i also found 3pc of tal’s, gull dagger, oculus but still now skin of viper muhguy. I do have one in single player tho its just been a pain in the ass trying to find another one.. so if any wants to trade lmk lol im dying hereee

I upgraded my magi armor and didn't get a socket and went to 805 armor , do I have to upgrade it again

I think this is because the base defense of the item is 'Base Defense: 111-126', and sadly the game rerolls the base defense when you use the upgrade recipe. This issue is especially notorious on items like Vampire Gaze, where it's recommended to never uprade (on let's say a sweet Ethereal one that will be for your merc), because the base defense range is so large that most times you will actually get LESS defense than before you upgraded it to Elite. Kinda lame, but it is what it is ;-(

Bro, you have made this mistake in other videos... You insinuate that your best chance of finding the unique you want is by killing monsters that have the highest chance to drop the BASE item of the unique. Unfortunately, uniques have an item level SEPERATE from the base item. A lot of the time it matches, but, a perfect example is the holy grail "Tyreals Might". Lots of monsters can drop "Sacred Armor", but in most cases it can only roll as "Templars Might". Another example is arachnids mesh. It is an elite sash so you might expect it to have the same odds to drop as unique Shako but it is in fact one of highest level items in the game.

@@V0r4xiz J Koenig's point still stands tho, it is giving inaccurate information on exactly how to determine what/where drops the best chance for a specific unique... and there are plenty of resources to use to quickly find out. The video creator has been told this before, and he should simply be using the drop calc to determine the chance for the EXACT UNIQUE item, not just random mobs that might drop the same base. A newer player that won't know the difference, might be hearing this, and then kill mobs in the wrong difficulty or Act that can't drop the proper item lvl from their loot table in order for it to roll Unique, and instead the item will roll Rare with double defense. Then they'll be wasting time and wondering why an item never drops for them. Since the Snob is trying to make videos to provide information, and he has already been informed of this large mistake in other videos, why doesn't he simply select the specific Unique when using a drop calc? I agree with his desire to help the masses and inform new/old players alike, but I despise outright misinformation even when it's with good intentions.

Trading for a duped HR is taking part in cheating too, as is trading for an HR that someone used a bot to farm, and people online do it all the time. If you choose to cheat, the game loses the little bit of challenge that it had, whether you are online or single player. A solo self found single player where you actually find every single one of the HRs to make enigma and grief etc is incredibly rewarding from a personal satisfaction point of view
