Nowhere in the UK to sleep overnight. You just have to get there! It makes our camping more predictable which is sad! It’s great that you have that freedom! How lovely p. X

We've always loved camping in the Michigan State Parks.... Lower and Upper Peninsula. In Canada, we especially loved Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario.... the acreage is just a tad less than Yellowstone, and there are trails, lakes, and wildlife galore.... Moose, Wolves, Bear, etc. Heading to Aloha State Park (Northern Michigan, near The Bridge) in May!

Algonquin Provincial Park is on our to do list. We almost went up there last October for fall break. It looks wonderful.

Holy cow, we lived in a suburb of Chicago when I was a kid and Turkey Run was a spot we visited multiple times. Great memories of being 6-7 years old and watching the deer use the salt licks in the evening. I think that’s how I fell in love with state parks. Great video, thanks for sharing. ✌🏼

Great stuff as always! Thanks for the tips. We took our kids to Fort Wilderness a couple of times with our pop-up. I don’t know if they still have it, but back then they had a petting zoo, Disneyfied hiking trails, canoe rentals, nightly Disney movies with a campfire and roasted marshmallows hosted by Disney characters, a couple of gorgeous pools; and a boat launch that took us across the lake to the Magic Kingdom. Needless to say, the kids loved it, and so did we.
@TravelswithDelaney5 жыл бұрын
I don't think they have the petting zoo anymore but they have everything else you listed. It really is the nicest commercial campground we have ever stayed at.

I"m a fan of actual boondocking - meaning out in the wild with no one else around, so most of those are random desert spots since I'm in the SW. For formal campgrounds one is closed now but another is the Kaibab National Forest on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon - heavily wooded, not too crowded and so amazingly beautiful!
@TravelswithDelaney5 жыл бұрын
We are hoping to do some actual boondocking this summer when we get out west this summer. There isn't as much of it here in the east.

Thank you for the recommendations. I joined Harvest Hosts at your recommendation and look forward to meeting some of proprietors who open their parking areas - and businesses. I will mention that I often pulled off at Many state rest areas and snoozed for a few hours when my eyelids got really heavy. I felt safe and comfortable at every one of them. Thanks you again.

That’s a great little video. Did you do that for 2017? I have enjoyed NF campgrounds and COE campgrounds. Lots have electric and w the senior card we are paying 12 bucks or a little more a night . Doesn’t get better than that.
@TravelswithDelaney5 жыл бұрын
We didn't do that for 2017 but probably should have. We stayed at over 30 different locations in 2018 so it wasn't easy to get it down to 10. We really wanted to highlight different types of camping. We have been very happy with COE and NF parks as well....we just haven't gotten to the discount stage yet! LOL
