Annapolis would be able to actually compete with DC and Baltimore if its dining scene got its act together and it if new sections built out. It pretty much only consists of a few historic streets and then a bunch of generic suburbs. Downtown Annapolis is absolutely beautiful and kind of like a mini Georgetown, but the dining scene is heavily centered around seafood, American food, Irish pubs, and a few European/Thai/Chinese/sushi places sparkled around, and 2 Indian places in the suburban parts of Annapolis. No Middle Eastern food, no other Asian options besides Chinese/Thai, no East African food, and no Central Asian food. DTA could be preserved as the historic district, but Annapolis City should have extended to where the mall is, which could have been built into newer urban areas mixed in with the suburban neighborhoods, kind of like what you see in NW DC/Arlington/Bethesda/Silver Spring. Annapolis Towne Center is a good example of what it could look like, but it’s awkwardly plopped in the middle of Parole around a bunch of suburban developments and shopping centers. Anne Arundel County planners are really goofy people and suck at making developments nice. More transit would be nice as well. Annapolis as it stands comes off as a rustic and homogenous place that refuses to adapt to the changes in the world around it. It’s pretty, but the old money culture it has becomes stale and boring fast.

Maybe did you stop to think that Annapolis doesn’t need to compete with DC and Baltimore? I live here and don’t want it to be like those cities.

Great video! Annapolis looks and feels so better than Atlanta, Georgia. I am sold! I am moving next summer. What are best high schools in Anne Arundel County?
@kf45372 жыл бұрын
Broadneck High, Severna Park, South River and Annapolis are all great high schools. Atlanta’s dining scene is so much better…… be prepared to drive to DC for eats as diverse and good as what Atlanta offers.

Navy doesn’t have “cadets”
@heartwings25173 жыл бұрын
One would think an "expert" on Annapolis would know the students at the Naval Academy are NOT cadets, they are midshipmen! The other service academies have cadets, but not the USNA. You make it appear there are no more affordable communities in Annapolis and that just is not true. There are homes to suit most price ranges as Annapolis is not exclusive to wealthy people!
