Congrats on the collab, and thanks for putting this together! This makes going through the (literally) hundreds of options for MotionVFX plugins out there a lot more manageable. Also, one time fee instead of recurring costs are a huge plus.

Awesome Peter. I am now a camera gear head lol. Got my A7iv and 24-70 gmii 2.8 arriving tomorrow. My A7C is ok but I want something closer to the a7s3. I am trying to learn premiere pro but this just makes me wanna go back to fcp. On my 16" macbook pro m1 max fcp is easy work. Lovely video. I'm going to buy your luts and this package

Great video! There is something to be said about FCP/Motion and Motion VFX plugins like mO2, mFlare, mTracker, which let the filmmaker/editor stay in their creative lane without feeling like they are changing lanes to learn compositing in After Effects or Fusion. It feels natural editing in FCP and incorporating mvfx tools for tracking, masking, or fx work. The learning curve is incredibly fast due to their awesome tutorials.

Can you please tell me where you get your SFX that you use in conjunction with your callouts? I've looked for those you use and others. I fell in love with the SFX that they are using on UFC fights which are similar to the ones you use. I don't know the name of them. They are kinda that futuristic computer data like ordeal. All I know is I want them so that I can use them in my videos as well. Thanks I appreciate your help in this matter.

@@PeterLindgren1 Thanks I’m going through their catalog looking now. Haven’t come across it yet but I’m searching. That SFX is really taking off I noticed it again while watching the UFC fight last night too. Question if I sign up for Artlist and use their SFX or music is that downloaded and saved into my FCPX program for good or just while I have a active subscription to Artlist? 🤔

Can I please get your opinion on something? I've seen so many people rave about how amazing the Sony G master 24mm wide angle lens is, but I don't recall seeing anyone talk about the G master 35mm. And I have a feeling a 35mm is going to work better for my needs. I just got my A7IV and want to get a really good lens, but it's going to be my only really good lens for the time being so I want to make sure it's going to be versatile enough for what I need. I get occasional paid gigs doing birthday parties, family photos, etc. but I don't go searching for jobs so it's pretty rare. My main need is to start filming music videos for my own music. Can I get away with using the 24mm to do all my performance shots and b roll for rap music videos? Or am I right that a 35mm would do way better? And have you heard anything on the 35mm G master? It's just as expensive as the 24mm, so I'm hoping it is just as good. Thanks!
@PeterLindgren12 жыл бұрын
I don’t have the 35 nor do I like the focal length that much. as long as you find the lens that suits you the best it doesn’t really matter!
@seriosmusic2 жыл бұрын
@@PeterLindgren1 I’ve actually never had a 24mm or 35mm, so I’m not sure which is going to be better. I’ve been waiting to record my videos until I knew I’d have the final version of the songs. I’ve used my recordings on my cheaper interface as practice mixing and mastering. I just was able to save up for a UAD Apollo interface so I know I’m not getting anything better. What I record now are going to be my final versions so I can. start filming the videos.

Still a lot of bugs with this software and M1 mac’s. Items that are supposed to be supported are buggy as hell. I reached out to the company but got a “we’re doing the best we can” response. I want to like this company but I just don’t trust dumping anymore money into them when I can’t guarantee their products will work. It’s frustrating to spend hours editing for the products to initially work, then when you go and replay it you get the red screen of death for the plug-in.
