I'm sooooo glad I re-watched this video. Ever since I bought my Canon R6 (about 2 years), the first thing I have always done when importing into FCP is select the Canon Log 3 --> BT.709 conversion LUT in the 'Info' tab with the Camera LUT drop-down. I've only just realised / discovered that by putting the conversion AFTER my adjustment layers I can get so much more out of the DR I gained by shooting LOG in the first place. I can't believe I have been getting this wrong in my workflow for so long and very glad I re-watched this video. As a small mark of my gratitude I shall now go and purchase your CLog3 conversion LUT to try in my workflow. Thank you.

Currently a master ninja of LumaFusion and on the beta testing team. I honestly love it as an NLE. It just seems so intuitive to me to be able to touch the screen or use the pencil while having the other hand on the keyboard using shortcuts. Suffice to say, I do wish LF had some more of the deep dive adjustments like FCP (or PP or DR). I'm strongly considering making the move into FCP and your videos are by far the easiest to understand and listen to. VERY well done, Tyler. Thank you for taking the time to go through all of this. I've save this Playlist for educational purposes.

This is probably the most helpful video for me right now. Honestly, I would become a patron, if you had a page. Your content is super helpful! Would you maybe consider a video where you go through different shot scenarios and how you set your camera settings, to get exposure and everything? Because that's like still one major thing I'm struggling with getting a consistent look when I'm shooting a project outside throughout the day when the sky is changing and matching that with maybe some indoor shots. To me that is really hard to get it to match right and I'm not sure how to nail it consistently like you Tyler.

That has so much value in this video! What I don't understand. What I don't understand that I used the 'i' (info) to add the LUT as you also showed but why is it affect the footage different then you choose the CustomLUT instead? So you suggest to use the CustomLUT and inside apply the LUT not in the 'i'(info) section. Why?

Yo! Very Very nice! I watched a lot of tutorials cause its double difficult for me cause e I have some kinda red green problem in my eyes 🤣 but let me ask: at 6:49 you switch the color wheels OVER the lut container. I have to check my projects if these is affecting some of my clips in a better result. At 20:14 you're fine with the look of the changes of the wheels UNDER the out container. Whats better/ safer?
@stalman4 жыл бұрын
I realized that as I went through the tutorial that I didn’t stay consistent but thought it might have confused things more to correct it. If my video doesn’t need heavy adjustments, looks pretty good out of camera, I apply the transform lut in the inspector so all my adjustments come after the transform. If i need to make some big fixes, like poor exposure or incorrect white balance, I make sure the transform lut is last in the chain, often by putting on its own adjustment layer
