Ghetsis's theme gets underrated in tier lists a LOT, but when you actually fight Ghetsis there is literally no better possible theme that can be created. Fighting Ghetsis is probably one of the most satisfying battles thanks to his theme, and i shit myself as a kid when he switched in hydreigon on the beat drop.

I think cuz it's not really a song you can dance to or anything. but a theme song and a song released by music artists are two very different things. a theme songs goal shouldn't only be to be a pleasing song you like, it should be to elevate the scene it's in and to be an immersion tool. both of ghetsises themes really fit him and the scenarios they play in. the booming atmosphere, prideful chanting of his own name, the drums being so similar to arceuses (aka god) theme, and so much more. and his bw2 theme is geniuse in my opinion, because just like bw2 ghetsis is a even more corrupt, desperate, and unhinged version of bw ghetsis, bw2 theme does the same. there's no build up to the prideful chanting, no more hiding behind the caring facade, it just goes straight into the chanting. it's fast paced and almost desperate sounding, you can really feel how far this kingly figure has fallen. or rather, how much his kingly facade has fallen, exposing his true nature

If you think about it, Rose is pretty similar to Maxie and Archie. 1) They attempt to control a legendary for what they believe is a good cause and have no intent of causing actual harm with said legendary. 2) They lose control of said legendary and the player has to stop it. 3) They have a sudden change of heart after said legendary has been defeated.

What seriously disturbs me about Neo Plasma is that like... Team Rocket is the mafia. Team Magma/Aqua are environmentalist radicalists. Team Galactic is like a Scientology doomsday cult. Team Plasma are like misguided animal rights activists that end up going off the deep end. Team Flair are just people blindly following a cult of personality Lysandre built. Team Skull are just punk kids embracing any sort of mischief and rebellion, and the AF are kind of a blend of Plasma and some sort of cult to what probably seems like 'eldritch' sort of monsters to Lusamine. Team Yell are.... just stupid? And annoying? But Team Neo-Plasma? They're legitimate militarized terrorists. In Pokemon Chronicles episode 14, we straight up watch Neo-Plasma wantonly bomb CIVILIAN TARGETS and STRAFE OCCUPIED BUILDINGS with Pokemon attacks that look a lot like Hyper Beam. That's fucking NUTS. And that's ignoring that they then freeze the ENTIRE CITY and are pretty much guaranteed to have killed a whole lot MORE civilians in doing so. Imagine a Pokemon anime that didn't hold back on the brutality of what Pokemon can do, to each other and to people.

I might be late but ghetsis is the only character in Pokémon to actively try to kill someone like BW2 he tries to kill the player and USUM he tries to kill Lillie. Also if he one in his world I believe it would be the most interesting as a world where being friends with Pokémon and being a trainer is outlawed and being controlled by a government that has Pokémon would be interesting (almost every other game the villain wins in you’ll probably be dead maxie no water, Archie drowning, Cyrus resetting the universe to make his own, Lysander blowing up the region)

I do agree as a Gen 5 fan that Ghetsis is only b Tier but the context of the battle and how it is the final battle in the main story makes a lot of sense. His B2W2 theme is definitely S tier no question. He is legitimately the best leader to fight against and he had the largest variety with the fewest weaknesses. And he was NOT playing around

Literary antagonist is pretty much anyone who steps in the way of the protagonist's goal. They don't have to be evil. They don't have to be mean. They can be your best friend. They can be a wise teacher putting you under training from hell because it's what you actually need instead of your desire to remain a lazy ass. So yes, Zinnia would qualify as would N, Colress, hell basically any trainer you battle on your journey to become champion. Give Youngster Joey his own battle theme GameFreak. The kid's a legend lol.

Personally I think the b2w2 N theme is the least good. I don’t think the drums fit and they distract from the tension.
