@@H14529 That makes more sense. I’d happily wait for a price reduction. That raises another issue. People buy fake shirts for main reason of price. If you don’t have the money, or you’re just wearing it to have a coffee, beer with mates or just around the house, it makes sense. BUT another issue I feel, is that you go to many clubs’ official on line shops and they rarely have any left of the size you need. So it’s not so much a case of clubs losing out on money but they don’t have them available to sell anyway. Just my thoughts.

Me on thee other hand was born in DXXXY in 72 my dad and his brothers was dxxxy fans. I did go to the baseball Ground a few times with my dad and uncles but my Grandad took me to a Forest game in 77 and that was it the reds had won my heart and my soul🔴🌳

Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve sat and stood all over the City Ground since 1980, it is a special place as most traditional football stadiums are and it would be a sad day if we ever move from there. Sure, it is dated by modern day expectations but other factors make up for that. Most away fans recognise this, the location is second to none, the bars walking from the train station are good and you get an old school atmosphere in the stadium. I love the WFCG, it’s my spiritual home 🙂

@@FrancoDX I started in the Trent End in 1976. Moved to A-Block in the Main Stand then moved again to the Upper Tier of - what was called- the Executive Stand when it was brand-new. My first game watching Forest was actually an away game - at Meadow Lane in the County Cup!

This old chestnut, Today you are correct but the land was given by the King to the town to collect rent to maintain the Trent bridge and was part of the town, I have a map from 1920s showing this but But I think in the 1950s the land was ceded to the County but the City remained the owners. 😂 I was able to let him have my ticket as I couldn’t make the match. I would recommend that you buy the £30 membership and keep on eye out 24-48 hours before a match (even on the day) as they have been coming up at the last minute for most matches. You have to be patient tho and keep checking the website.
