There's no need to be self-conscious about saying 'Guys' a lot. You do say it more than most people, but its honestly not at all annoying or anything, its just a filler word - and is a much better than the 'Errr' that most people default to - its actually helps centre the focus of the conversation back to your audience (which is a very good thing in videos like this where you are providing information and advice). Its honestly not a flaw or anything - its just a personal style: like Spock saying 'Fascinating' or Tealc saying 'Indeed', or other Aussies saying 'Mate'.

I love the shrike, amazing layout, looks awesome, probably in my top 3 in game. My other favourite is the dhailkhina, it's just so flexible.

You mentioned a special thing of the Dhailkhina is, that it has the most isomag slots while still having an Exp weapon. Same goes for the Deimos. Lt Cdr Intel + Cdr Tac/Pilot is a very powerful combo, and it has Destroyer mastery.

Theseus can have 7 isomags. Gorn can have 8

Great vid, ty ty. As a F2P, I've had to focus all my efforts into 1 character and 1 type of build (mostly). So as a Fed Tact player, I generally tend towards DEW builds, so whenever the Campaign Event comes around, I have to really think about what can benefit the path I've chosen. Right now I'm looking at the Kelvin Dreadnought, Inquiry and Deimos. I picked up the Connie Flight Deck Miracle Worker last year and it's a great platform, but still lost to think about for this year's event. Great break down, cheers o7

One thing I’m liking the most, is that a good chunk of the trending ships off this list are around a year old. Give or take. The World Razer, the Gorn Raider, the Connie III, are all semi recent ships. When I got back into STO just after the 12th anniversary, the bulk of the ships mentioned were the Atlas, the Deimos, etc. With the Crossfield refit being the new kid on the block.

Great choices, I have most of them except the GHP and the Delkina. Yea the Mirror Warship is a bit dated but man is it fun to fly (plus Terran Goodbye is great) . Its kinda like the joke that flames on a car make it go faster lol. Awesome vid!

With the change in the yearly event, the Connie 3 is top of the list for me. It looks good, nice trait, even if I despise how in Picard they _had_ to call it a Connie just because they wanted to make an Enterprise G. They should have just left it the Shangri-La class. And not thrown in that whole former Titan rigmarole.

Great info Nic, thanks for the content. It might be worth mentioning which of the lockbox ship are available in the Zen store for account unlock. So people can balance the cost of Master keys vs buying in a zen pack e.g. a Mudds pack etc.

I’ll get the Connie 3 for this year’s Event Campaign mainly for the shangri la look. The Connie 3 has a lot of problems but the role and package is great.

Yeah me too! Last event I got the temporal light cruiser Connie for my temporal recruit and he loves it lol This year I'm getting the Enterprise G for my engineering captain.... Who happens to be a DSC toon lol

About a year ago I bought one lockbox on a whim. One key. And got a Dhailkina. I could play for the next 20 years knowing that will _never_ happen again. I was thinking of the Excelsior II for the console for my FAW tank I'm working on. And I'll probably get the Gorn Hunter as my reward for this years event.

I have to question his aesthetic sense :). The Excelsior 2 looks "meh" at best if not outright ugly. How come they never manage to "update" the Excelsior without making it look ridiculous and the whole "we made the frame bigger just so you can't use the classic skins" makes it an easy skip for me.

All flight deck carriers have attract fire and 2 hanger bays, there are about 11 not including fleet varients. The Voth Rampart Command Flight Deck Carrier maybe a one to look at again with the new debuffing pets from the Ahwahnee.

My favorite premium ship is the Verne. Best EPG ship in the game. Even though the Chekov in the C-store (14th bundle) is really good now too. I just wish they had made it Temporal Primary and Intelligence Secondary instead of the way it is. But then they wouldn't still make money of the Verne I guess.

The Dhailkina may be a strong platform because of isomag slots and EW, but the Lexington has a hangar which can take the new Type 7 shuttles, giving it some serious debuffing power and greatly raising its DPS potential in elite content.

The Dhailkina has a hanger bay as well, is the type 7 shuttle limited to Fed ships?

Nope all ships can use type 7

@@QseftJohn Ah ok, if the Dhailkhina also has a hangar bay, then it's definitely the stronger platform of the two. And naturally it has one since it's a strike wing warbird. So basically it has the best of all worlds layout wise.

i prefer the D7 mw over the lexington, 8 slots for isomags and 2 hangar bays, not to mention it's trait...i'm kinda surprised it wasn't mentioned.

@@lino222 True, the D7 MW FDC is a proper beast, same as the Connie temp FDC. Both get a full 5/3 weapons layout plus hangar bays, but not experimental weapon. But now with all the recent new stuff, they should be the most potent and versatile carriers in the game.

Personally i love that ship, i love all big ships, i like that it isn't the most popular but each to there own and the more people hate on it the more i like it. On a CC comment the console trait and boff layout aren't amazing, but ive done everything on the higher end with that ship tanking HSE, 1mil plus dps runs as torps fire at will and csv and they have all been sufficiently good, so if you like and want to get one go for it :)

The guys thing is annoying. Some notes my viewers on my channel gave me were I said "so" and "really really" too much. The trick is to watch yourself after an edit and see WHY you're saying it so much. I think you're using it as a transition word and when you want to emphasize something. If you watch yourself more you'll see when you do it, you also do it a lot when you can just say the sentence without it. Take guys out every time you try to emphasize something and see how it works. Just a friendly recommendation to someone who also struggles with words like that.

The World Razer is from Season TWO (2) of Star Trek: Picard, NOT SEASON THREE (3) as you stated! The Constitution III-class is from Season THREE (3) of Star Trek: Picard! You thus really should pay attention to what you are saying and get your facts straight!
