Dont forget there is the Flowzone Cyclone 3.0 too that only goes up to 60psi on its 5 dial setting that only cost $249 to your door. Typhoon might be over kill for the basic home owner only using this on the yard and trees. The cyclone has been great for me so far for all my fertilizers, herbicides and fungicides and occasional tree spraying on my apple trees in spring. Flowzone also offers refurbished sprayers online for 2/3 or even 1/2 price sometimes if you periodically check.

I've had the 2 1/2 gallon Storm 2 sprayer for 4 years. Never had a problem with it. Just used it to spray a lot of concrete sealer and buggered it up. Contacted FZ, they showed me which parts to order, got it working again in a couple days. I'll never have anything but Flowzone sprayers...

Here’s a question for you. I did a total lawn renovation with barenbrug Rpr earlier this year, I live in Saratoga Springs and the grass is the most beautiful grass in the whole subdivision. However, I’m kinda worried about the winter as I found a video by the KZbin channel “Sam’s Lawn” that his entire rpr lawn died off because of a harsh winter. You have/have had the rpr, does it hold up well in our Utah winter temperatures?
@pestandlawnginja Жыл бұрын
I've shown the process a few times. you can expect some die out. but it won't be catestrophic unless you avoid winter maintenance. I had similar damages to my kentucky bluegrass as well. snow mold is the most common issues. when you spot it in the spring time you simply lightly rake the grass upwards. You can also avoid most issues by pushing the snow off the grass during the winter. for some its worth it. worst case scenario....... seed the lawn in the spring and you have new grass germinated in 5 to 10 days.

Great review. Have you ever used one of these to spray stain? My concern is that it would stain the tank and I’d never be able to see how much liquid is in it again. Thoughts??? Also, can you provide details on that telescopic wand for long reach? Thanks!
@pestandlawnginja5 ай бұрын
I have not used one to spray stain. I have used plenty of organic materials that do stain unintentionally and it does leave a slight stain in the plastic. Doesn't bother me much. Didn't effect seeing how full the tank was. You can use lysol toilet bowl cleaner to remove tank stains. The wand works well for what it is. I will say i don't use it as often as I should. Great for tree applications

@@pestandlawnginja thanks! My primary reason for looking at this is to spray insecticide for carpenter bees that are a real problem and need the long range that you showed, but it got me thinking about restraining as well. Appreciate the video! It’s a lot of $$ for homeowner use. Is the wand also made by flowzone?

Great Review Ginja! This unit might be overkill for my home use? I have been using the sprayer's plus 2 gallon for a couple of years. I had a battery fail at the one year mark. I probably only use a sprayer 8-10 times per season. If/when my current sprayer goes bad, I will look at this one,

@@pestandlawnginja I kind of like the smaller 2 gallon size. I also have a Stihl 4 gallon manual pump backpack sprayer. The Stihl rarely gets used. The battery sprayers are easier to use and more uniform. But the stihl is a good unit.

The only gripe I have with my FZ Cyclone is I feel the tank should angle down like a shallow "V" towards the pump as a low point. Amazing in every other aspect. I love the professional grade metal wand parts. The tank is a chemical rated tank and the seals are Viton if I remember correctly, so bleach, degreaser, and other chemical safe, through and through.
@pestandlawnginja8 ай бұрын
Love the idea. I'm with you. Wish there was a design change to get all the liquid out
@LemonySnicket-EUC7 ай бұрын
As it gets low on liquid pull your right shoulder out of the strap and wear only the left to finish and it gets the tank pretty dry.
@pestandlawnginja7 ай бұрын
@@LemonySnicket-EUC i do the same thing. it does work, but its a bit of a pain when apply herbicides
@Troy-Echo7 ай бұрын
@@pestandlawnginja I do that too, but I don't use the tank frequently enough to always remember so I remember the pump is by the on/off dial so I find myself tilting one way and seeing if the pump primes itself again. If not, I just tilt the other way. Does this make my neighbors think I'm unbalanced? :0) You can also take a black magic marker and mark the volume marks on the tank for ease of use. That's something I did with my 50-gallon chemical tank for roof and exterior cleaning.
