I generally just use Ctrl+Q for hard quantize and shift+Q for soft quantize

When I record midi, it's always off sync. I typically highlight and move every nonafter the first input note, then slide in place. Randomly, I'll make perfectly aligned with a couple here and there a pinch off. Your method saves time and is more organized, however, not always does a perfect note sync, give the desired sound. If your striking a chord of 3+ notes, the landing of your natural fingers most times, are not perfectly aligned. The sound it gives is sometimes AMAZING
