Really informative video, enjoyed watching it and seeing how we stacked up. You hit the nail on the head, Rapide is a "quick detailer" it was designed to be a one-wipe instant flash gloss boost, something that could be used on any surface just to remove any dust or watermarks and leave the beading to the protection below. We do however have our Ceramic Detailer (Speciale) which we believe would have also done well in this test, but as with any Si02-based products, takes a little more arm work and is a "cloth flipping" or second cloth type product with a durability of 3 months. Keep up the good work.

Yeah I wrote many times John to test that Griots!!! It’s good! Frost sells it as well as another company in the UK! Ceramic speed shine is also a good spray sealant to treat the paint after a few weeks you have had the 3n1!

I need to try that Carbon Collective product. That feature of the product "flashing" quickly and with minimal effort is probably one of the most important features of a quick detailer that I am looking for. I don't want to be constantly wiping on my paint if I don't need to be due to the fact I have a red in color Nissan 370Z and the paint is so darn soft, if you even look at it half way wrong, you get a micro mar or scratch in it. It's the softest paint of any car I have ever owned by far. Thanks for posting Mr. Jon. You are still the DOCTOR OF DETAILING, PHD in my opinion.

I really like that Griot's 3 in 1, too. I like a lot of the stuff Griot's offers in general, and that 3 in 1 is a good one. Between that and Gyeon wet coat I really like being able to top up the protection and gloss without spending a huge amount of time. I use a wax-like ceramic coating, but I feel like those are two products that give me really good results on their own and also extend the life of the coating I put so much time and effort into. Great stuff.

Great videoJon! Titan has become my favorite detailer. I really like the way it responds as a drying aid, as it leaves the surfaces super slick without extra buffing for a high level of clarity. On dry application, less is better to avoid towel drag on the initial wipe. I mist on two sprays to each panel when drying my car. No streaking and leaves behind a lot of slickness and gloss with a super easy application. Smells nice too.

top job with all the work these tests take Jon - only one i’ve used was Fusso and not terribly impressed….didn’t get the whole mixed category tho, you’re kind of comparing apples and pears…some are pure QDs, some are pure ‘toppers’ , some are a mixture. Hi is using drying aid (ceramic spray) when drying is a must to achieve screatch free drying? Btw in using twisted loopd drying towel
@ForensicDetailing10 ай бұрын
not essential no. but the key word is drying aid. So it "aids" the drying process. If the car is clean, the towel is clean, you can dry the car gently and not scratch it. but the drying aid makes it easier and can create some lube and also repel the water off the panel mate.

Hi Jon, Thanks for another great video. I have tried many of these products on my candy white VW Transporter T6. But unfortunately, the dirt still sticks to my van like glue! What product should I apply to my paint after decontamination?

@christophersmith7599 Жыл бұрын
OK, thanks, Jon. Having a white van in the UK is a nightmare. Especially in the winter!
@TheNekstOne Жыл бұрын
Hey mate I'd look for a coating or sealant that is claimed to have good self cleaning properties but most importantly use a dedicated pre-wash. I had the same problem on my white paint; pressure washing amd snow foam didn't touch it. Once I started using Bilt Hamber touchless 95% of the dirt could be pressure washed off before I even touched it with a wash mitt. If you use a pump sprayer or pressure wash foam lance it over your (dry) car before pressure washing it off then it should melt a good deal of the grime off as you start the wash. Auto foam also works well as do a lot of other pre-washes. It really helps if you apply it straight to a dry car though so it gets straight to the dirt and doesn't get diluted by standing water on the paint. Good luck mate!
@christophersmith7599 Жыл бұрын
@TheNekstOne cheers for the message. I am about to order the Touchless. I have started to machine polish the van, and it has much improved the paint finish. I am now trying to decide what method of sealant to use after polishing. Ceramic, liquid, or paste. There are too many choices. I want good water repellant properties, long lasting and with a gloss finish!

BTW, the GHS Exclamation mark pictogram does indicate specific class of health hazards, but there are several other GHS pictograms which indicate various other health hazards. just an FYI the exclamation mark isn't the only pictogram which can indicate a health warning, and the absence of a pictogram could simply indicate the contents do not contain the specified level of hazardous materials which require a pictogram on the container.
