GT DD Pro the wheel does work with Assetto Corsa, but you have to boot the console and the game up with the control pad switched off and only the wheel switched on.

My experience with this wheel ended in a LOOOOONG line of very slow responses from tech support to very little avail. I replaced it with the BMW V2 wheel which is night and day better. I am a 57 year old (adult who doesn't "abuse" his toys) male who has been playing GT for 25 years, my last wheel was a logitec something or other 10 years ago, it was great (for its day) and never broke, I sold it 10 years ago. I stopped playing when sport came out and started again when GT7 arrived. If you are actually going to drive daily, don't get this WHEEL, period. Only get it if you are only going to play occasionally and don't care about squeaks, pops, flex, and broken parts. The motor is fine, however I recommend the 8nm power supply, not the 5nm. The PLASTIC connector is annoying garbage. It squeaks, pops, flexes and is just not good. They sent me a free replacement that was "ok" for 2 months, then it sucked too. The L2, L3, R2, R3 switches are very poorly designed PLASTIC garbage. I used L2 and R2 for handbrake and Nitrous, until they broke off, only a couple months in. For what I paid for this wheel that is 200% unacceptable. Did I mention that I used an old Logitec for over 6 years straight with ZERO problems or broken pieces? They replaced the switches free, and sent ANOTHER PLASTIC qr, turnaround was good (I am in the U.S.). The "new" PLASTIC qr was immediately worse than the last one. I sold the refurbished wheel and had to spend $350 to get a (not PLASTIC) BMW V2 wheel, which as I said is night and day to the PLASTIC GT DD toy wheel. Yes, you can program the BMW wheel in GT7 by using the GTDD interface in the game, you just have to map by square, X, circle, triangle. I also recommend getting the button cap kit to mark your buttons. I am very happy with the BMW wheel, it is what I expected my experience to be the 1st time with the "toy" wheel.

Is there another bundle that would offer a better wheel? I am new to GT 7 and I have been absolutely sucked in. I play several hours a day. After reading your review, I’m kind of nervous about spending the little money I have on this kit. I want the most realistic experience I can have, but I don’t have a ton of money. Also, do you have any recommendations for some cockpits? Appreciate your lengthy review of the product and your criticisms.

@@bryon3464 the DD pro wheelbase is great. I now have their current version BMW flat bottom round wheel with Alcantara which is light years better than the GT PlayStation “toy” wheel. I would recommend the leather version though, you have to take care of the Alcantara, brush it etc. The DD pro (csl) pedals are fine, the newer elites are probably better. The $400 pedals I don’t feel are worth it yet. My step son has them and I didn’t really see enough difference, especially for GT7, no vibration etc. As for the cockpit, do it right the first time, seriously. Mine is the GT Omega Prime, seriously worth it. Next on my list is the PSVR2…

DON'T get EITHER of the GT7 wheels, don't be sucked in only by the features, or ANY plastic connector unless you are deaf, the creaking, popping, and ticking, not to mention flex, will drive you insane! The QR2 (not the lite one) is much better as well. If you are in this for the long haul, and aren't the kind of person that will get tired of your new hobby in a couple months there is a phrase - Buy once, cry once. If you buy the cheaper thing first you WILL usually end up buying the correct thing anyway, buying twice... Spending MORE money. As for the power supply, the same thing goes, get the correct thing the first time, 8nm, yeah, it IS overpriced, but worth it. Unless... If you can afford the DD+, don't screw around! I upgraded to that and , wow! BIG difference in every way, also has gotten BETTER since I bough it, I'm not sure if they are sneaking in parts of Full Force yet or what, but the extra sensations are great. Check out car settings on my channel, also PSN q445187 for liveries.

GT DD PRO. I’m new to racing sims. I love GT7 so far and wanted to get a wheel setup. Is there a way to add a shifter and a clutch pedal to this setup? How does it get calibrated? Will the game automatically realize they are connected? May just get the base set up and add components later. Didn’t want the Logitech. GT DD PRO. Seem to be a good wheel. I used to have a G25 but some smoke came out of the wheel and the motor were burnt!!! I would love to buy this wheel to play GT7. Just need to wait a bit for extra money. I would love a good rig as well. Don't like the clip and I prefer to have a good rig from the start. Any suggestion for a solid rig??? I know that the 8nm make the wheel hard to stay in place if you use the clip.

Just sold my G29, pedals and shifter - nabbed a DD Pro (5Nm) Fanatec pedals, and loadcell / tuning kit. Thinking of a Meanwell 24v 350w diy power supply as it seems silly easy to do, and I have a 350watt sitting next to me from a 3d printer I had disassembled... - really excited seems like it will be a great wheel for all my pc needs. Never intend to use on a ps5 or xbox.....

GT DD PRO - A little out of my price range at the moment. Using the Logitech G29 at the moment with the pedals and the optional shifter. Not real happy with the feedback on the G29 but it does seem better on GT7 than previous games I was playing. Very good info in the video...Thanks!

ACC PS5 version has known bugs that cause the force feedback to be very light. There will be a fix as well as an in game update to bring it up to spec with PC.

Hello everyone, someone completely inexperienced with sim racing here. i wanted to know what everyone thinks a solid cockpit would be to pair with the boost kit and the load cell kit on the dd pro. ideally something that can be stored away but also hopefully not break the bank. i don't think I'll need it to handle anything more than this wheel setup in the future thanks !

You mentioned problems with Assetto Corsa. Did you have the wheelbase in compatibility mode at the time (either PS4 or PC compatibility mode depending on platform)? If not, try it again and it should be fine.

In the mounting section, just blew by the fact that it doesn't come with bolts to use for hard mounting. lol
