Great review as usual. I like to see reviews on tools people use often. We really enjoy your channel. Mikita tools have been good to me. The bit recommendations were also very helpful.

Like you, I use the impact driver as much as you can but that ratcheting screwdriver for the money is the best hands down too Steve. I like how you have organized all your bits in one box. Thanks and Cheers

I still use screwdrivers in a great amount compared to power tools for installing and removing fasteners. Perhaps that's because I have about 65,000,000 screwdrivers of all kinds, littered about my place , in and under and around every workbench, shed and vehicle toolbox, and only have about 5 cordless drills. The ratio alone would tell the story. Yes, Steve, I'm "Old School" (and old LOL) so It is no surprise that when something needs screwing up, I'm there. Nice review!

Looks like a good buy to me Steve. I flip back and forth between regular screwdrivers and ratcheting screwdrivers basically because I have many of both so depending where I am in the house or out in the shed dictates what I’m using 😂. Great stuff Buddy!

I still use my screw drivers a lot . I will show it in a video sometime , but my favorite ratchet screwdriver the handle can be straight or angled to get better grip to turn . . I have had it probably 6 years .I like how the handle on it works . The light on it is junk , but the rest is great. PISTOL GRIP LED LIGHTED SCREWDRIVER Part No: 668 . Cal Van sells them. $25

I only buy impact bits. I have powered screwdrivers that range from a kids fat pencil size to small drill. One of the problems with most is they are big in your hands. I like the ones I can control the speed and torque.

Makita is a good brand. You should store your Sharpies upside down to keep the ink sitting on the felt. Steve loves Deck Screws! I have a lot of screwdrivers, but the bits and ratcheting are the easiest to use. I don't think I have bought a Bosch.

I only use the impact and I’ve yet to try Busch, I’ve seen the good tip and only use the trade ones that we get at a supplier but there’s some better ones I’m sure. One thing to try is the torque head but a bit more expensive......CHEERS

I've bought the Milwaukee ratcheting screw driver kit at home depot a few years back and it has been my favorite screw driver. Same concept as yours except the bits are stored in the handle on both the stubby and standard length handle.

The older I get the more I rely on my Milwaukee 12v driver for screws. You still got to have screw drivers and ratcheting beats non ratcheting. I have always favored Makita stuff.

If you're referring to that old brushed 12V, YES! One of my favs, and probably one of the best Milwaukee has ever made. Quick release collet, a clutch, and easy to modulate trigger.

How's she goin'? I'd say that was a great price for the Makita ratcheting driver. I personally don't like them but that's just me. I do have some of those 'tapered' Robertson bits you were looking for. And it's good that you don't have any because, like you said, they are garbage!! Nothing worse than a bit that is worn out!! Great review here Steve and I'm going to have a look for Bosch bits and give them a try. I have some Milwaukee bits now and they aren't too bad but not great!! Take care!!!

I have a Milwaukee ratcheting screw driver that I like and use when I can. Aside from working on cars I rarely use a hand screw driver and even there I use a 3.7v cordless screwdriver whenever I can. Most everything else get the impact driver. Ryobi bits are pure trash, Milwaukee aren't much better so I've been using DeWalt, which are ok but not perfect. I'll give the Bosch impact bits a try. Cheaper at HD or Amazon?

Hey Steve!!!!! Come on, admit it, you like the Bosch because they label the Square drive R1, R2, etc, owing to ‘Robertson,’ which All good Canadians refer to them as! 🙄 😂 🤣 I get it at how screwdrivers have become passé, so to speak. But they still have a place. I do find myself using my M18 Surge to put many fasteners in that I used to do by hand. But it’s kinda like how a young Carpenter shows up on a new job; He better have an old fashioned hammer hanging off his tool belt! There will be a time and place he will need it, and same goes for screwdrivers, in a way, I guess. Seriously, will have to take a look at Bosch. I’ve had great luck with both Makita, and Milwaukee bits, and yes, they do cost more, but the fit in the fasteners is so great. Less slippage equals longer lasting? Oh, btw, You’re way more ‘Professional’ than You give yourself credit for. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; You are practical and down to Earth, and no nonsense. I appreciate that! Cheers! 👍✌
