As a woman working in retail that tends to be very quiet, I get this question a lot. I’ve had customers get mad saying that my voice is too quiet for someone that works in retail or that I need to talk more. My response is usually this: “I don’t talk unless I want to.”😆😄Or if they’re extremely rude and loud, I’ll say, “I just don’t like loud people.” 😄😆Works every time. And I always say it in the most polite tone possible.😆😁Love you, Kyutie! Keep up the great videos!😘And give Coco lots of hugs for me!😀

my best friend likes talking in social situations and I don't. I'm not good at talking to people at all, while she is so soooo good. But when we're alone I become way more talkative and we talk for hours, literally. Once we had a sleepover with another girl I didn't know that well. When she fell asleep me and my bff talked almost all night. And I'm not kidding, we talked for over 8 hours lol

As a kid I was super quiet in school and with people I didn't know/liked, but was super loud and friendly with my bff who went to a different school. Many people would mistake me for being shy, but that was far from the truth. One of the most annoying things was, when I said something in class or elsewhere, people were like 'ooooh she speaks!' or 'you can talk?!' 😑

I'm definitely more of a people-watcher/listener. Not in a creepy way but in the sense that I don't feel the need to be actively involved in the conversation when I am in big groups. So I sit and listen to what the others are saying and I chip in if I have any thoughts on the topic. I find people really interesting so I just like to watch and listen. This works out perfectly because my best friend is very talkative and I can just sit and listen and nod at everything she says. It's very comfortable.

When someone asks me this I usually don’t know if they mean why don’t I talk a lot or why do I not talk loud. If I assume they are asking the first one then I just say “I don’t have anything to say” or I say “What do you want me to say?” Then say something random. If they are wondering why I don’t talk a lot I say “It’s kinda hard to talk loud” which is true for me, it hurts my throat to talk loud.

When people ask me why am so quiet I either shrug my shoulders or I say that it really doesn’t matter if I’m quiet or not because whenever I talk or have something to say people always talk over me or interrupt me as if my opinion doesn’t matter. I either use sign language and say 'I can't hear' in ASL or I say 'eu nao fala ingles' (I don't speak English but I couldn't add the accents so if it sounds weird to my fellow Brazilians i'm sorry lol). It works every time. Edit: i have selective mutism so i am not physically able to do this all the time but i do it when i can.

😹 I felt offended by the librarian comment. Like libraries are now daycares and there is no regulations on voice levels.
