I think for a talking head / portrait 60cm is the absolute minimum if you can get the soft box close enough to your subject, if not then 90cm. So I don't understand the decision to have this high-ish output but no portable soft box options beyond that tiny one that looks way too hard for anything other than maybe rim/hair lighting. I prefer the Godox option that has their compact mount but larger soft box options like easily collapsible 65cm one. It's almost like Zhiyun are taking advantage of people not realising softness requires surface area. Their so called "soft" box that isn't soft in the slightest...

I agree. I understand they wanted to make it to fit their mount but they also make a much bigger softbox for their bowen’s mount. Otherwise that bowen’s softbox will snap their mini mount 😂

@@MikeBSalazar Yeh, so it feels like a bit of a catch22, you have to use the bowens mount if you want this as a key light, but the mount is larger than the light. The Godox mini mount seems like a much better solution for portability. This really feels like a major design flaw if not a complete dealbreaker, a small power light you can't use as a key light... why bother?
