This is not VSF . You can see this on the balance wheel, hairspring and adjustment. This is more likely a VR3235 movement so my guessing would be Clean or someone else using VR3235. That is. A VSF would probably look even better and even harder to distinguish from gen.

That is, how do these fakes, replicas or clones actually perform? Compared to OEMs, do they fail to keep time as accurately, do they fail prematurely, or do they otherwise not perform as well? That's an equally, if not more important question. What if they're actually better? Since their exterior and interior appearance is indistinguishable to all but most highly trained eyes and if they're better, or even equal performance-wise for a fraction of the cost, why not get one?

Movement will always be the biggest tell because a replica watch can't factor in the cost of a free sprung balance. It's just too expensive for them to add, they wont enter circulation and the only way someone will pick one up is if they purchase without authenticating prior so that would be their own fault and no dealer would purchase it upon inspection.

Have to tell you guys in 2023 they have now an even Higher end replica than that, this time they perfected the feeling of the movement itself so thats also being removed as a tell. The replica is very good. If the replica manufacturer used a collimator to overlay the replica image on top of the authentic version they could get it even closer, even exactly correct if they wanted. Then it comes down to the finish on the parts. That is very easy to match if they want to. The color of the paint and gear coating could also be matched with just a little more trial and error. I really think that if these Chinese manufacturers wanted to they could make a replica that even Rolex could not tell the difference. I think the replica guys are having a competition to see who can get the closest but still be a replica.
