Sadly, the real "value" of a rolex is more closer to the replica's one. If the original costs 30 times more and it's so difficult to notice the differences, then consider that maybe rolex is pulling your leg. I took it to a watch guy just to see what he had to say about it and outside of opening the case or inpecting it very carefully with a magnified lense you wouldnt be qble to tell its fake. And its not like it was instant when he looked at it under the lense, he had to really look at it for a while and found tiny tiny details that were just slightly less refined. They even added tungsten to the watch to make it have the weight of the original. Its impressive.

Its not just "can it be done cheaper". Of course it can! When buying a Rolex (or any luxury goods for that matter ... say a bag or a luxury car) gives you an added experience to it - at least its how I look as it. 1) YOU know its not real if you buy a fake ... 2) A real one will outlast you (the fake one will stop working after few years - if they have this rough of a movement inside .. years of grinding and so on...) 3) You will be able to pass the real watch to your kids one day and be proud of it...I would not do that with a fake.

I find it really sad that some people don't see the point of buying a genuine Rolex. You're just pretending to have the thing you really want or are mimicking it, how can that be satisfying? Unless your sole reason for buying a Rolex is to impress others, which is well, sad. The purpose of getting a Rolex is to feel special, to reward yourself for hard work or a life goal, to pass on something of value to your kids and also to appreciate fine craftsmanship and quality. It is also to tell time which a genuine Rolex does accurately to within +/-2 seconds a day. A replica will often be 20 seconds or more out per day, so it cannot even do what it's meant to do accurately. On top of that, if no one bought the genuine ones any more then Rolex would go bust and there would be nothing for anyone to replicate and for people to pretend to have 😅 finally, when the replica breaks, which it will, it will be very hard or even impossible to get serviced or repaired. So you've competely wasted $500-$1000.

The superclone is a beautifully made watch. Id never buy a clone but i wish some companies would make a 40mm, 10bar, 12hr chrono that is 14mm or under for like 5k CAN. I like the TAG glass box but its still like 8k. Anyone have some recommendations?

All this theater with replicas happens because the real stuff got ridiculously expensive over the last two decades. It was never this expensive before, you could buy a Rolex for a couple grand. It was doable for middle class people. Now it's only for rich people.
