I improved my feet pain by running barefoot on a local football field, ran from 1 end to the other 30 times did it for 6 months straight, first week was almost unbearable , after day3 it literally hurt to walk but it got better overtime, now I incorporate into my routine monthly, i pick a random week and try to run barefoot as much as i can. If u do this, make sure you start washing your feet thoroughly and in between the toes lol

I've had every damn shoe out there for years. Plus the custom Orthotics, over the counter inserts. The shoes have been. Brooks, NB, Saucony, Nike. You name the model shoe for stability or Motion Control and I have bought them. Then one day a woman at my gym told me about Hoka shoes. I had never even heard of them. I went to a running store and tried on every model they had. I found the Clifton worked best for me. I have now been buying the Hoka Clifton for 4 years, and I swear by them. They provide the proper support and work best for me with the Orthotic for flat feet. The Hoka shoes are very expensive though, but you do what you have to do. If your feet don't feel right. I can guarantee the rest of you won't feel so great either.

The Hoka is not for everyone, it's a love it or hate it should, but the cushion combined with the support can be very very beneficial for those in pain!

@PvM Yes I have the Orthotic in the Hoka Clifton. The shoes are great but I still have to wear an orthotic in them. Any shoe I wear I have to wear an Orthotic.

Doc, your videos have inspired me to go the the Local Road Runners Sports store to get their true fit analysis. Aging, weight gain have changed my shoe size. Who knew? Having a wide 3e foot, according to the gizmo, limited shoe selection. Hopefully more seniors will find your videos and be inspired to check out some of the options your video listed (before the pain send them to their MD)

In the summer i walk (no running) alot on european cobblestones, uneven lanes and concrete surfaces (Prague). I have underpronation (not over) and flat feet (unusual combination). So i think my new shoes need to have adequate foot support with max cushioned insoles and durable outsoles with probably some ridges and grooves for excellent grip (protection against uneven cobblestones). Im getting very mixed messages on what shoes to get. I have a Bondi 7 but they heart on my left foot. Please help me!! Which shoe do you suggest!!

Check a few different links, it should be set to recommend similar versions in Australia as well, look for EVA over the counter models like powerstep usually

Brooks are amazing for sure, they are overall my clear #1 shoe. Some people love Hoka, some don't. I always recommend trying a Hoka on in person. Generally they are best for a high arch foot and less so for a flat foot. Also better for older and stiffer rather than younger and flatter.
