BEST SALTWATER REEL UNDER $40.00???? **REEL GOOD OR REEL BAD**

I just (this morning) ordered the 5000, based solely on the written reviews and my own thoughts on the reel. As an after-thought, I realized it might be a good idea to see if there was a vid on the reel...and sure 'nuff! That's how I ended up here. Great review and confirms my initial thoughts about the reel. It should be here tomorrow and I can't wait! (Wow...I just noticed the rod you're mounting it on for demo. Is that a 'two tip' (M & MH) rod? If so, that looks like the same rod I ordered with the reel.)

I have been using the rapid II 4000 and 6000 for two years now and they have held up fantastic. From Bull redfish, Sheepshead, to Snook these reels are just affordable workhorses.

Its still going strong. Actually its my preferred saltwater reel. I hooked a 150+ pound tarpon recently with this reel and fought it for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Reel is still as strong as the day i bought it. Strongly strongly recommend
