1 package of Jimmy Dean's Hot sausage
1 block sharp cheddar
1/2 block Cheddar
1 & 3/4 cup of bisquick
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

I like this recipe,my Dad and uncle showed me how to clean a fish, squirrel rabbit and quail loved them all. I am 76 years old, Love your channel and uncle he is so funny 😃🙏 GOD BLESS You All 🙏👍

I’ll have to try this way. We’ve always used 1 pound of breakfast sausage, fried, 1 pound of sharp cheddar cheese, melted in a double boiler. Add both to 3 cups of Bisquick baking mix. Mix well, and roll into balls a little bigger than a walnut. Bake at 350° until golden brown. I’ve seen other recipes that do not fry the sausage or melt the cheese, which makes it easier. But that was my recipe.

If you haven’t already, you should try these with stuffing! I made them at a Friendsgiving recently and they were all gobbled up! Just a box of Stove Top (cooked), 1 lb of Breakfast sausage (uncooked) and 3 cups of cheddar cheese, mix all and roll into a ball, pop in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes and enjoy :)

Love it! I have just started making sausage balls and I turn mine over, too. I do the same with pigs in a blanket. My brother had some sausage balls before and he said they were terrible and we figured out it was pre-shredded cheese. Gonna try using less cheese and Bisquick like your uncle does! I've been making these for years. Two years ago replaced the bisquik with Red Lobster cheesy biscuit mix, 1 box. Big improvement. Always use extra sharp cheddar. I always get 48 balls. I'm going to get that 48 muffin pan.

@Jessica, a tip to Uncle Mark (and everybody else) is to let the sausage roll come to room temp before you start mixing. Definitely reduces labor on the hands and fingers. That's not "different", just a tip. :)
