'Kolo' has been my great teacher in terms of saving 🙏🏻.. I dont know who brought that mentality of Aso wiwo o.. For instance, I have deliberately saved my earnings here on KZbin as a young KZbinr and gradually I'm getting my filming gears and it looks like... so this is possible... Yes it is.. By God's grace and discipline.. As I grow I will be upgrading per my level... I have never been under pressure and I beat my chest too like yours 🤭🤭.. I'm a student and i have a piggybank,started December last year,it isn't easy based on school expenses coz after getting your allowance and just putting 80% of that into your konlo,you just end up broke again😥😪 but anyways,God dey sha coz na me go enjoy las las. (i believe anyone in the higher institution and living in the hostel can totally relate coz it can be really tempting based on you see stuff you like but restrict yourself from getting it as per you're saving for the future)

Quite lucid! I think it’s worthwhile to note that saving isn’t a function of income per se, it’s an habit. Like you said if you want to lack discipline and earn more, you’d keep spending more. It’s just best to learn to save a proportion of your income regularly (100% doesn’t even cater for your expenses 😭? ) truth is 150% won’t even do it, so just be frugal enough your net income (income less savings)

Can you save without earning? I mean as a student that get pocket from parents and all the money given has a definition I mean they give you money when you need it for something not just extra money. Or you will wait till you start earning before you save.

Also, the way you are intentional about paying tithe even when you don't want to, you can always apply that principle to your journey to Financial Independence. Credit Alert - #10,000 Tithe - #1000 Savings - #1000/#500 To cover up for your savings, you will have to deny yourself of somethings. Instead of #1000 data, you buy #500 data or reduce the way you share hotspot or time you spend on social media. At the end, you will be grateful.
