HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.

In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

That's terrifying considering how absorbent sand is. Assuming the blood is not draining into the sand it would imply that everything below the depth of the line, until you hit bedrock, would be completely saturated with blood.

Never drive Humanity across the metaphorical Line in the sand. We are capable of being exceptionally peaceful, but there's always a monster lurking under the kind exterior. The video proof of atrocities committed against innocents, especially children, will completely shatter said exterior.

I can personally attest to this. I always had a strong sense of justice, so when I was bullied when I was younger, I'd have a hard time not lashing out. Occasionally, I'd get into fights, and once I even wanted to outright kill a guy... at 12 years old. Apparently, I feel emotions a LOT stronger than most people. So when I hear about dogs being mistreated by peta, or children being starved while corporations make bank, I have a hard time not screaming in rage.

It's a shame that the author didn't have a human tell someone from the alliance that "if you can make a god bleed, you can kill it". Because that's what humanity did, there. They made the foes bleed, so much so that it became a crippling blow, and thus the alliance was able to do _their_ thing.

Like most people I enjoy peace. Like most people I am fair to average at most things, poor at some others. Why then do I like peace? Because like most humans there are two things I am shockingly, devastatingly good at. Violence and survival. Like most humans I can use one to boost the other to unimaginable heights. Sacrificing a solar body or twelve would not even make me blink. A billion of our lives for a billion billion slavers? Easy trade. In fantasy a thousand lives is a massacre, in history millions of lives are a fact. Would you cross an imaginative species who cannot imagine a fantasy worse than what we have made reality? If the answer is yes you have chosen extinction. Before we even left the planet we had to create a word of terror. A word of unimaginable horror. We had to pen the term 'genocide'.
